The Tyler Perry cinematic universe continues to expand, this time with another expansion of the Sistas franchise on BET and BET+. On May 5, the cable network and its streamer announced the greenlight of Tyler Perry's Divorced Sistas, a new extension of his established series as well as the prolific creator's first series under his multi-year partnership with BET Media.

In today’s TV news roundup, Epix revealed the premiere date and teaser trailer for the second season of “Godfather of Harlem,” and Netflix announced the premiere date of Jamie Foxx’s “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!”

Epix revealed that the second season of “Godfather of Harlem” will premiere on April 18. Set in 1964, the crime drama series explores the collision of the criminal underworld and civil rights movement. The second season will follow Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker) battling the New York crime families for control of the French Connection, a pipeline for heroin that runs from Marseilles to New York Harbor. In addition to Whitaker as star and executive producer, the season will bring back Vincent D’Onofrio, Ilfenesh Hadera, Nigél Thatch, Giancarlo Esposito, Lucy Fry, Rafi Gavron and Antoinette Crowe-Legacy. Cast members Erik Laray Harvey and Demi Singleton have been upped to series regulars. Watch a teaser below.

Dad Stop Embarrassing Me is coming to Netflix. The streaming service has ordered the father-daughter comedy series which was being worked on in February, prior to the pandemic shutdown. The series will star Jamie Foxx and is based on the actor's real-life relationship with his daughter, Corinne. She is one of the producers of the multi-camera series.

In addition to Foxx, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me also stars Porscha Coleman and Jonathan Kite, with Heather Hemmens and Valente Rodriguez in recurring roles.

Netflix has given a formal series green light to Dad Stop Embarrassing Me, a father-daughter comedy starring and executive produced by Oscar winner Jamie Foxx. The series is inspired by Foxx’s relationship with his daughter, Corinne Foxx, who produces alongside Alex Avant.

Kyla-Drew will play Foxx’s daughter, with David Alan Grier also starring on the multi-camera comedy.

Dad Stop Embarrassing Me was casting and gearing up for production in February before the coronavirus pandemic paused most production activities. Ahead of the official series order, the original showrunner Jim Patterson, co-creator of Netflix’s The Ranch, recently stepped down. He was replaced by Bentley Kyle Evans. Initially hired as consultant, Evans (Martin), who previously co-created/exec produced with Foxx The Jamie Foxx Show in addition to serving as showrunner, was named executive producer/showrunner on the new sitcom. Netflix has ordered a comedy series starring Jamie Foxx titled “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me,” Variety has learned.

The multi-camera series is inspired by Foxx’s relationship with his daughter, Corinne Foxx. The series will also star David Alan Grier, Kyla-Drew, Porscha Coleman, and Jonathan Kite. Heather Hemmens and Valente Rodriguez will appear in recurring roles.

Bentley Kyle Evans serves as showrunner and executive producer. Foxx will executive produce in addition to starring, with Corinne and Alex Avant producing. Ken Whittingham will direct all episodes.

This is not the first time Foxx and his daughter have collaborated on a TV project. She currently appears with her father on the Fox competition series “Beat Shazam,” which Foxx hosts and on which Corinne serves as DJ.

Archer: Danger Island, the penultimate season of the animated comedy, will premiere on Wednesday, April 25 at 10/9c. This upcoming season follows seaplane pilot Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) and his co-pilot Pam (voiced by Amber Nash) as they survive on the South Pacific island of Mitimotu in 1939.

HBO's Silicon Valley is to air on Sky Atlantic in the UK.

The eight-part comedy is debuting in the Us on April 6, and will broadcast on the Sky channel this summer.

Set in the San Francisco Bay area, Silicon Valley follows a group of computer programmers who try to start their own company in the technology industry.

It stars Martin Starr, Tj Miller, Thomas Middleditch, Amanda Crew, Porscha Coleman and Jimmy Ouyang.

The series comes from Office Space creator Mike Judge, Alec Berg, Dave Krinsky and John Altschuler.

A new promo clip for the show was recently released.

HBO will air Silicon Valley every Sunday at 10pm.
