- Additional Crew
Recently wrapping the roles of Charlotte Hay in Moon Over Buffalo and Cindy Lou Who in Who's Holiday, theatre, television and film actor Heather Plank can be seen on Apple TV's in a recurring role on Season 3 of M. Night's Shyamalan's Servant and in the upcoming indie Cryptic Desire.
Skilled in both comedic and dramatic acting, Heather and her sister Jane Plank, who played Tammy in The Mighty Ducks, moved often as a child, living mostly in Minnesota, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Heather was always "the new kid" in school, which she credits for her outgoing personality and the ability to make friends wherever she goes. Heather gravitated towards performing from a very young age, which led to joining the Peace Child tour when she was 16. Promoting peace and understanding between nations and individuals, the cast performed in Russian throughout Russia and Poland for four weeks.
Heather completed a summer program at American Academy of Dramatic Arts while still in high school, and attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in Drama. She studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute where her instructors included Hope Arthur and Tom Nielson.
After stepping away from acting for several years to focus on work in writing for Publisher's Weekly and her passion for books, working in libraries and bookstores, Heather rediscovered her fervor for performing. She has since achieved numerous theatrical, film and commercial credits.
Heather is an original member of Liberty City Radio Theatre, performing live radio shows throughout Philadelphia. Thanks to their live reading of The Breakfast Club, she finally got to live out her teenage fantasy of being Molly Ringwald. She teaches improv and introduction to theatre, enjoys singing and writing and, as a self-described real life Muppet, conducts a popular story time at her local library. When not performing, Heather loves hiking, camping, cooking, cuddling with her cat, and showing off her unparalleled knowledge of The Brady Bunch to anyone who shows the slightest interest.
