Katy Gallagher(IV)

Katy Gallagher is a prominent Australian politician, a member of the Australian Labor Party, who holds significant ministerial roles in the current Albanese Government. Katy has represented the ACT in the Senate since March 2015, with a brief interruption in 2018 due to a dual citizenship issue, before being re-elected in 2019, 2022, and 2025. Katy has been the Minister for Women since May 2022, in this role, she advocates for women's equality and rights, addressing issues such as gender pay gaps, workplace equality, and violence against women. She has also been the Minister for the Public Service since June 2022, overseeing the Australian Public Service. Katy's most significant role is as the Minister for Finance.
