Biography

Bruce An Clarke was born and raised in small-town Washington State. His introduction to narrative filmmaking started from a class assignment to make a short film during his studies at The University of Washington. Despite graduating with majors in Psychology and Communication, a yearning for a more creatively impactful career saw him move to Los Angeles in early 2023 to try his hand at working in the film industry. He hasn't looked back ever since and quickly found his way onto numerous sets as a PA and 2nd AD for short films, commercials, podcasts, and music videos.

Along the way, he discovered a love for writing and directing his own films. At 24 years old, "The Fallacy of You" became his solo directorial debut in the short film space. He is also a producer on an upcoming thriller feature film titled, "Calamari", directed by Russell Whaley. Previously, he has also collaborated with Whaley in co-directing, "The Reptilian Affair" which premiered at the HorrorHaus film festival in Santa Clarita, CA. He is passionate about using film to showcase the complexity of human emotions and psychology by telling stories that resonate with our own sense of self.
