If one were to describe Suspiria, the phrase "a nightmare etched in a stained-glass window" would be appropriate. Dario Argento's 1977 film exists in a class almost entirely on its own. The director, who, up until that particular point in his career, had almost exclusively done crime thrillers such as The Bird With the Crystal Plumage and Deep Red and also had a brief foray into black comedy with The Five Days in Milan, entered the realm of supernatural horror. Co-written by Daria Nicolodi and featuring a soundtrack from long-time collaborators Goblin, Suspiria weaves a spell over its audience and takes them on a journey of kaleidoscopic imagery behind the walls of an enigmatic location.
At its core, Suspiria is a fairy tale, with Suzy Bannion (Jessica Harper) assuming the mantle of Snow White and embarking on a treacherous path with forces beyond her control wreaking havoc all around her.

While “Peaky Blinders” had its heyday on the small screen, series creator and writer Steven Knight says his feature adaptation belongs in movie theaters.
“I really want the ‘Peaky’ fans who have been a big part of this to be watching it all together in one building,” Knight told The Playlist. “The communication has all been virtual, but I do want this to be in cinemas so that people can sit there together and watch this thing happen.”
The original series ran on Netflix for six seasons from 2013 to 2022 and, after years of speculation, a “Peaky Blinders” film was officially announced in June 2024. Cillian Murphy will return as star and producer and Tom Harper is set to direct.
Knight boasted about the film and its flashy lineup of a-listers, adding that production recently wrapped in December.

All fans of medical dramas will want to mark April 3, 2025, on their calendars. That is when Netflix will start to air all 10 episodes of Pulse, its new entry in this, one of the most popular TV genres. The series, prepared by Emmy winner Carlton Cuse and writer Zoe Robyn, is the first English-language medical series exclusive to Netflix and promises to be a great addition to the likes of New Amsterdam and The Resident, among others.
Explaining the premise of the series to Netflix's official Tudum site, writer Robyn notes, “You don’t really want to be in the hospital. But if you were in the hospital — this is the one you would want to be in. You want to be in the care of these people.”

Upon Charlie Sheen’s dramatic firing from Two and a Half Men, many felt the sitcom was as good as over. But as the story goes, Chuck Lorre and the crew bounced back by bringing in Walden Schmidt as Harper’s replacement. Although Ashton Kutcher did prove to be a good match for Jon Cryer’s Alan, the show never reached its previous heights post-Sheen’s exclusion.

It also didn’t help that the sitcom ended on a pretty bizarre note, which many felt was an insult to viewers who had invested a substantial portion of their time in the sitcom.

The latest film from Tyler Perry, Mea Culpa, has faced heavy criticism for its weak chemistry between leads and silly plot twists. Despite low scores on Rotten Tomatoes, the legal thriller could still be a hit on Netflix, as viewers are curious to see it for themselves. Departing from his usual comedic projects, Perry's attempt at an erotic legal thriller has failed to captivate both loyal fans and new audiences.
Tyler Perry’s latest offering has come in for some heavy criticism as the writer/director attempts something different to his usual projects with the "erotic" legal thriller, Mea Culpa. The movie, which stars Kelly Rowland, arrived on Netflix last week, and took no time to see its Rotten Tomatoes approval rate plummet on both the side of critics and audiences.

Hill Harper, running for an open U.S. Senate seat in Michigan, returned to Los Angeles earlier this month, where the actor headlined a fundraiser co-hosted by John Legend, as well as other figures including Vivica A. Fox and Mike Tollin.
The event was a needed boost to the actor and activist’s campaign: In the Democratic primary race, Harper is facing Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-mi), who has a wide lead in polls and in her campaign war chest. She had more than $6 million cash on hand as of the end of last year, dwarfing that of her rivals. Harper had almost $150,000.
Harper, best known for his roles in The Good Doctor and CSI:ny, is largely running to the left of Slotkin, a former CIA analyst, and obviously hoping for a breakthrough. He also has relayed what Barack Obama, a classmate at Harvard Law School, told him that as hard...

Finally, some great content!
The Rookie is back with the action, drama, humor, and, truthfully, an occasionally choppy opener with The Rookie Season 6 Episode 1.
But the promise of a season worth devouring is right there for the taking.
Its return has everything we love and appreciate about this series jampacked into the first of a two-part opener that pays homage to the series well.
The Rookie has never shied away from jamming a million things into a single 45-minute installment, so if there is ever a show that feels well-equipped to produce a content-heavy season with half the episodes, it's them.
Yes, some aspects of the premiere felt choppy. But the strong, action-packed opening carried forward the adrenaline-inducing momentum of The Rookie Season 5 Episode 22.
There are so many moments within this series when it genuinely feels like you're watching a high-caliber action flick before your eyes.

Hill Harper’s exit from The Good Doctor was addressed in the Season 7 premiere of the ABC medical drama.
Harper has been a main cast member since the show’s debut in 2017, playing the role of Dr. Marcus Andrews. The Season 6 finale of the series set up Harper’s departure after Dr. Andrews resigned as president.
In a scene from the first episode of the final season, Dr. Andrews’ whereabouts were noted in a moment between Elfina Luk’s Nurse Dalisay Villanueva and Christina Chang’s Dr. Audrey Lim.
“Marcus sends greetings from Spain,” Villanueva tells Dr. Lim.
“Oh! I thought he was at a meditation retreat in Vietnam,” Dr. Lim adds.
Villanueva responds, “He was and now he’s walking the Camino de Santiago.”
Watch the scene in the video posted below.
Harper announced last year he was making a run for a U.S. Senate seat in the state of Michigan.
