Ingrid continues to be a saving grace.
There was so much to enjoy about Upload Season 3 Episode 5 and Upload Season 3 Episode 6.
We got so many fun tidbits from the Nathans coming face to face with one another, a Luke rescue, drunk Ingrid, and great teases with the quadrangle.
In the background, of course, we learned more about the nefarious plans with the billionaires.
And Aleesha's escapades with Karina are suspect and bound to lead her toward heartache, but at least she's proven to be a great mentor for the AI Guys.
Admittedly, much of Upload Season 3 feels a bit all over the place. It's as if they haven't fully committed to most of the central themes and plots of the season.
It feels like the revelation that Choak was in bed with Horizen and that nefarious billionaires have funded this massive political scheme to kill off or make most...

It was a long hiatus, but Upload Season 3 was worth the wait.
In many ways, the season is unlike the previous ones, exploring new concepts and different dynamics and bringing us a double dose of Nathan Brown.
And with conspiracies lingering, some exciting changes, and so much more, there is plenty to discuss about this season.
We had the privilege of hopping on Zoom to chat with Upload's co-executive producer and writer, Maxwell Theodore Vivian, about Nathan and Nora's romance, Ingrid's possible redemption, switching things up with the AI Guy, and much more.
Check out what he had to say below!
This season, it's double the Nathan, which broadens the scope of the season and what you guys can explore with it.
How's that been working out? Can you talk about the decision to introduce two versions of Nathan?

Upload takes place in 2033, showcasing a future where technology has advanced significantly. The show's predictions of future technology, like self-driving cars and printed food, add humor to the storyline. While some predictions may seem ridiculous, there are also plausible advancements that could become a reality in the near future.
Upload presents an interesting but not-so-distant future with some fun predictions of how the world will change. In 2020, Greg Daniels brought Upload, a sci-fi comedy-drama TV series streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Upload explores a near future where technology has advanced so much that people can now choose to “upload” after death. This means that their consciousness, memories, and more are uploaded into a virtual afterlife of their choosing (as many brands have come up with their own) and they get to live a new life in an avatar that looks just like they did when they were alive.

Season 3 of Amazon Prime's Upload continues to explore the harrowing and expensive world of virtual immortality, with an intense and fast-paced premiere that leaves viewers with unanswered questions. The chemistry between Robbie Amell's Nathan and Andy Allo's Nora is unmatched by the rest of the cast, making their romance the highlight of the show, although it sometimes overshadows other plotlines. The first two episodes of Season 3 introduce new conflicts and revelations, including a shocking twist in the Freeyond plot, but the second episode lacks focus and needs to establish a new direction for the main plot.
Season 3 of Amazon Prime's Upload premiered on October 20, welcoming viewers back into the harrowing stakes that come with a world where dying is even more expensive than living and (virtual) immortality is attainable. The 2023 sci-fi thriller Simulant features a star-studded cast including the McU's Simu Liu in a major starring role. Released in its native Canada in April 2023, Simulant follows a recently deceased man (Robbie Amell) who gets caught up in an A.I. revolution after his consciousness is transferred into a new synthetic body. Playing on classic sci-fi tropes but with a modern twist, Simulant manages to find its own way of telling a Blade Runner-like story, and it does so with a hard-edged independent aesthetic. Though it isn't a tentpole franchise film, Simulant manages to assemble an impressive cast of stars that helps to elevate its well-worn premise.
Simulant is yet another genre film from prolific Canadian actor and director April Mullen, and follows in a string of ambitious projects like 2012's Dead by Dawn which she has helmed. As revealed in the trailer for Simulant, the relatively small ensemble...
