Borna Moinpour

Borna Moinpour is an award-winning Iranian-American Sound Designer and Production Sound Mixer based in Los Angeles, CA. He began his creative career in architecture after moving to San Francisco in 2018, where he worked on designing physical spaces. Over time, he realized his true calling was shaping sonic environments that carry emotion and story. This transition led him to pursue filmmaking, ultimately earning his MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2024 with a concentration in Production Sound and Sound Design. His work spans narrative, documentary, and experimental projects, where he combines technical precision with an ear for detail to create immersive soundscapes. Borna's sound design has been recognized with multiple honors, including a Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) Awards nomination, and he continues to collaborate with filmmakers to craft audio experiences that elevate storytelling.
