Horst Backfrieder was born on 14 May 1959 in Linz, Austria. He was an actor, known for Twinni (2003). He died on 17 April 2016 in St. Valentin, Austria.
Backfrieder teaches German and Physical Education at a secondary school
in St. Valentin, Lower Austria, where one of the castings for Ulrike
Schweiger's film Twinni took place. Seeing how well he interacted with
the children, Schweiger decided on the spot to cast him in the role of
the priest.
