Some good news just dropped for fans of Sonic the Hedgehog - his most highly acclaimed movie is coming to a new streaming service.
Starting on June 20, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be speeding onto Prime Video, and those who haven't seen the movie yet will get a chance to watch it. The Sonic the Hedgehog movies were a major factor in convincing people that video games could make good films.
Sonic the Hedgehog made his movie debut in 2020 and after some kerfuffle involving his original design - the infamous "Ugly Sonic" - the little blue speedster, voiced by Ben Schwartz, went on to great success. Sonic the Hedgehog and its sequel both grossed millions of dollars, but they were missing that all-important ingredient that goes into establishing a franchise: good critical reviews. It was Sonic the Hedgehog 3 that finally brought these along. The film was hailed as a...

For many anime fans, the bombastic action scenes pulled them in before anything else. The great stories and awesome characters might've helped them stay, but the action is what catches most people's eyes. Even veteran anime fans still love watching a captivating fight scene unfold.
That just makes it all the more frustrating when a fight that could've been great just winds up letting fans down. Sometimes the fight just wasn't as important to the studio as it was to the fans. Other times, the animation drags the fight down, making it a chore to watch. Whatever the case, disappointed fans wind up being the real losers.

Sometimes a last-second reveal of a joke character's true power is cool. Bleach's introduction of Yammy's true identity is not one of those times.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for Sonic the Hedgehog 3
In a year filled with plenty of sequels and franchise films, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has quickly become one of the most beloved, continuing the story set up in the previous two films while introducing multiple classic Sonic characters and almost destroying the world. The film's story sees Sonic facing off against Shadow, a darker version of himself, who wants to destroy all life on Earth for what was done to him. Sonic the Hedgehog 3's ending is bittersweet, with the heroes ultimately saving the day, but there is one aspect of it that may end up spelling doom for humanity.
Sonic 3's characters are its main selling point, as introducing Shadow was a big success with people who were fans of Sonic outside the films, and introducing Gerald, despite being a much lesser-known Sonic character, gave Jim Carrey...

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Paramount's video game film Sonic the Hedgehog 3 brought the titular hero's cinematic universe to a spectacular new high, setting up stories to come. After introducing characters like Shadow the Hedgehog and Prof. Gerald Robotnik to the hit franchise, this threequel set the stage for more greatness with its upcoming sequel, Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
Specifically, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 featured a mid-credits scene in which Sonic gets cornered by copies of Metal Sonic, the blue blur's android doppelgänger. However, these killer robots are defeated by Sonic icon Amy Rose, the hero's ally and hammer-wielding love interest from the video games. Combined with the events of its main story, Sonic the Hedgehog 3's introduction of Amy and Metal Sonic carries enormous implications for what Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be about, as it could adapt the events of three classic Sonic video games.

Amy Rose made quite the first impression in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and proved that she could be a valuable ally to Sonic in future movies. The story of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 follows Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, who are tasked with taking down a new hedgehog. The third film in the series builds on the post-credits scene of Sonic 2 and introduces Shadow the Hedgehog. In the film, Team Sonic have to stop Shadow and his allies, Ivo Robotnik and his grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, from destroying the world.
The ending of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 features both Shadow and Ivo turning on Gerald Robotnik, and sabotaging his plan to terminate all of humanity. During the climax of the film, both Ivo and Shadow seemingly die on the space station that Gerald wanted to use to destroy Earth, but the second post-credits scene for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 reveals that Shadow is actually alive.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has already teased its exciting post-credits scene, but this pattern is actually setting up a major problem for the franchise's future. The Sonic the Hedgehog movies have surprisingly become known for their post-credits scenes, with both of the movies that have been released so far featuring post-credits scenes that show off exciting new characters. It has already been confirmed that Sonic the Hedgehog 3's post-credits scene will be doing something similar, but this could end up creating an issue that the live-action movie series won't be able to fix.
Sonic the Hedgehog director Jeff Fowler talked with EW ahead of the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and the director had some interesting things to say about the third film's ending. Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man has been one of the most important characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor witnessed the birth of the MCU with the first movie in his solo franchise Iron Man in 2008. However, the character almost died in the first Avengers movie for his heroic bravery.

Iron Man is also one of the most vibrant characters in the MCU, and Downey’s portrayal of the character is irreplaceable. Still, the journey of the character would have ended much before Avengers: Endgame where Tony Stark ultimately sacrificed himself to save the universe from Thanos.

Although known for silently brooding on Angel Island while guarding the Master Emerald, Knuckles the Echidna was once part of a team called the Chaotix, and Idw Publishing's Sonic the Hedgehog is finally reuniting the team in an upcoming issue. Introduced in the 1995 game Knuckles' Chaotix, the eponymous group worked together to protect six magic rings from Doctor Robotnik and Metal Sonic.
The upcoming Sonic #65 not only features a cover by artist Natalie Haines depicting Knuckles posing dramatically in front of the Chaotix (sans Mighty the Armadillo), but the official solicitation reveals it is indeed a dream come true for '90s fans. Knuckles enlists the services of the Chaotix to retrieve a stolen relic from Angel Island, a crime that was most likely perpetrated by the Babylon Rogues. Sonic #65 is by writers Ian Flynn and Evan Stanley, artist Adam Bryce Thomas and Aaron Hammerstrom.
