Atamanuik has worked as a waiter and a restaurant manager. One of his interests is cooking -- he describes himself as "a comedian who cooks", and demonstrates recipes on his Patreon site.

As a student (and eventually, school president) at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High in Massachusetts, Anthony had already started performing comedy. He would do impressions of his teachers over the school PA system in the morning.

Atamanuik was on the Death by Roo Roo (2003) improv team, along with John Gemberling, Curtis Gwinn, Adam Pally, Brett Gelman, Jackie Clarke and Neil Casey, among others. Many of his teammates later became staff or performers on The President Show.

According to Chris Gethard, some fans in West Virginia have the face of Atamanuik's character The Keeper of the Battledome from The Chris Gethard Show (2015) tattooed on their bodies.
