"I Would Tackle It If It Were Brought To Me": Dylan O'Brien Gives First Reaction To Maze Runner Reboot Report
Image
Dylan O'Brien finally responds to news that Maze Runner 4 is in development, which he didn't even know was in consideration. The original Maze Runner movies O'Brien headlined for 20th Century Studios made $940 million at the box office combined. It came as no surprise when reports surfaced last year that a Maze Runner reboot was in development.

The original reporting stated that the new Maze Runner movie was neither a sequel nor a remake of the James Dashner books already adapted. Instead, it was labeled as a "sort of continuation." That spawned a lot of questions about whether original cast members, like Dylan O'Brien as Thomas, would return.

Speaking with ScreenRant's Liam Crowley to promote Ponyboi, releasing in theaters on June 27, 2025, Dylan O'Brien shared his reaction to the Maze Runner reboot. He was not aware of the film's development until the question was asked. While he has not been contacted...

'It's a Perfect Beginning': Ridley Scott Says 1 Alien Movie Really Needs a Direct Sequel
Image
Alien fans were excited about the news of an Alien: Romulus follow-up. Franchise creator Ridley Scott stokes the fire with a tease for another sequel's plot.

Director Ridley Scott told THR that Prometheus resurrected the Alien franchise. Expressing his regret over not taking ownership of the IP after the success of Alien, Scott also said the sequels botched the canon plot. "I watched Alien 2, 3 and 4 and realized, 'Oh, you just ran that firmly into the ground,'" he asserted. "Then I went back to [former 20th Century Fox chief Tom Rothman] and said, 'Listen, there's a way out. We should resurrect Alien with Prometheus.'" That movie divided the fan base but has since gained a cult following; it also earned a sequel in Alien: Covenant.

This 10-Year-Old Hunger Games Replacement Is Streaming for Free in November
Image
The late 2000s and early 2010s were all about dystopias. The post-apocalyptic genre was taking over the YA segment, with studios quickly catching up with the trend, and one of the defining films in the genre was The Hunger Games, which had a lot of competition with The Maze Runner.

Now, The Maze Runner is one of the titles that will be available on Tubi starting Nov. 1. The adaptation of James Dashner's 2009 novel premiered in 2024, starring Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Will Poulter, and Patricia Clarkson. The story follows Thomas, who wakes up in a dark elevator with no memory of who he was, only to discover that he was sent in the middle of an intricate maze alongside other boys who try to find their way out.

Dylan O'Brien Says Safety Concerns on Maze Runner Set Were Ignored Before His Near-Fatal Accident
Image
Dylan O'Brien rose to fame for his role in the supernatural teen series Teen Wolf, where he played the funny sidekick Stiles. Thanks to his popularity from the role, he scored the leading role in the adaptation of the popular dystopian sci-fi series The Maze Runner, but it wasn't all smooth sailing as one of the films led to a serious injury.

In an interview with Men's Health to promote his upcoming role in Sony Pictures' Saturday Night, O'Brien also recalled the injury he sustained on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure. The actor, then 24 years old, was struck by a car during a scene, which led to serious injuries. The film production was postponed until he recovered, but the actor looks back with a bitter taste as his concerns were not "listened to" or "respected."

Dylan O’Brien raised safety concerns on Maze Runner set before his near-death accident
Image
It’s been almost a decade since Dylan O’Brien nearly died on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure after a tragic accident. The actor was reportedly in a harness on top of a moving vehicle when he was unexpectedly pulled off and hit by another vehicle. Production was shut down while O’Brien recovered, and it took an entire year before he was able to return to finish the film. O’Brien spoke about the accident with Men’s Health, revealing that he had raised safety concerns before the accident but was ignored.

“It was a life-changing incident. I’ve approached everything differently, you could say, particularly with regards to standing my ground on set,” he said. “It’s very commonplace in the culture for young actors to be controlled, and the way they strive to do that is by always being like, Oh, don’t become difficult.

20th Lands Mother-Daughter Comedy Pitch From ‘Booksmart’s Sarah Haskins & Emily Halpern
Image
Exclusive: 20th Century Studios has acquired an original feature pitch from Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern (Booksmart), enlisting Gloria Sanchez to produce.

While plot specifics under wraps, the project is described as a mother-daughter comedy with two strong female roles.

On the film side, Haskins and Halpern most recently penned 80 for Brady, the comedy starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno and Sally Field, which Paramount released last year. They’re perhaps best known for scripting Booksmart, the BAFTA and WGA Award-nominated 2019 comedy directed by Olivia Wilde.

Creators of the CBS show Carol’s Second Act, starring Patricia Heaton, as well as the ABC sitcom Trophy Wife, the pair are currently under an overall deal in television at CBS Studios. Nominated for an Emmy for their work on staff of ABC’s Black-ish, they’ve also written on series like Good Girls (NBC), The Mayor (ABC) and Imaginary Mary (ABC), to name a few.

The Maze Runner series is getting a reboot with original director Wes Ball as a producer for a fresh take on the dystopian YA trilogy. Studios are revisiting YA franchises, betting on their continued appeal and success among audiences seeking new adaptations and reboots. Despite being misunderstood among action-packed YA films, The Maze Runner trilogy explores complex themes of memory, identity, and truth.

20th Century Studios is gearing up to reboot The Maze Runner series after almost a decade since the first film. The series, based on James Dashner's gripping dystopian novels, will see the first trilogy's director Wes Ball stepping back into the fold, but this time as a producer.

Maze Runner's Reboot Plan Sounds Confusing 10 Years After The Franchise Began
Image
The Maze Runner franchise is getting a confusing reboot not classified as a remake or direct sequel to the original trilogy. The new movie will be a continuation of the story while incorporating elements that made the first film popular. A real reboot, completely scrapping the original trilogy, might turn off audiences eager to see the franchise continue.

The Maze Runner franchise is getting a reboot, and the plan is confusing considering the timing of the news and early details. 20th Century Studios launched the adaptation of James Dashner's YA book series in 2014 after The Hunger Games became so popular. The studio made three Maze Runner movies starring Dylan O'Brien as Thomas, with the successful trilogy wrapping up in 2018. With multiple other books left to adapt, it was assumed that more installments would be made in the movie franchise, and Disney first confirmed its intention to keep the series...

‘The Maze Runner’ Is Reportedly Being Rebooted with Jack Paglen in Talks to Write
Image
Back in 2009, James Dashner released The Maze Runner, the first of what was to become a series of novels consisting of a main trilogy, two prequel novels, and a planned sequel trilogy, as well as a companion volume. The story is a dystopian narrative that focuses on a group of children who have to survive the Maze, but ultimately discover that the world they are in is in ruins and that there is a dark secret behind everything. The series was picked up for a live-action adaptation in 2011, and the first movie was released in 2014. Two additional movies were released, with The Death Cure ending the trilogy in 2018.

But, while it’s been just six years since the final movie of the original trilogy, The Hollywood Reporter revealed an exclusive scoop that 20th Century Studios is working on a reboot of The Maze Runner film series, although details are still very scarce.

Image
According to THR, 20th Century Studios is looking to reboot The Maze Runner franchise based on the best-selling novels by James Dashner. The studio is currently in negotiations with Jack Paglen (Transcendence) to write the script for the new film.

The movie is being described as a "sort of continuation" of the original trilogy with previous director Wes Ball onboard as a producer. Transcendence scribe Jack Paglen is in talks to write the script for the reboot.

Nearly 10 years after the previous adaptation trilogy first launched, 20th Century Studios is developing a reboot of The Maze Runner franchise. James Dashner's dystopian YA novels first made their way to the screen with the 2014 movie of the same name, led by Dylan O'Brien as a teenage boy who wakes up with no memory inside a grass area known as the Glave, following him as he works with the others there to escape the vast maze surrounding them and learn who is behind their imprisonment. Jack Paglen In Talks To Script New ‘Maze Runner’ Movie For 20th Century Studios
Image
Jack Paglen (Transcendence) is in talks to write a new Maze Runner film for 20th Century Studios, Deadline can confirm.

While details as to the plot of the film are under wraps for the moment, it’s described as a continuation of the story of the last three films, released between 2014 and 2018, rather than a direct sequel.

Based on the dystopian YA book series by James Dashner, The Maze Runner takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where a group of young survivors must navigate deadly mazes, treacherous landscapes, and sinister organizations as they uncover the truth about their past and fight for their freedom. Wes Ball directed the original 2014 film, as well as sequels Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) and Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018), all ahead of Disney’s acquisition of Fox. Transcendence: How a Forgotten Thriller Tried to Warn Us About the Future
Image
We don't blame you if you don't remember Transcendence. This science fiction thriller went past everyone's radar in 2014 despite having a powerful ensemble cast and a premise that feels more relevant than ever in our present times. Based on a story written by Jack Paglen and directed by first-time director Wally Pfister, the film was produced by Alcon and Dmg Entertainment and distributed by Warner Bros Pictures. It was made on a budget of $100 million, and it barely managed to make its production costs back with a theatrical gross of $103 million.

The film was deemed a flop by Hollywood standards and more evidence to the ever-growing pile of excuses that Hollywood uses to justify its ongoing avoidance of taking chances on new ideas in favor of established IPs. It's still baffling how a film featuring the talents of Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, Cillian Murphy, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara,...

The Arrow in the Head Show revisits the xenomorphs and androids of Alien: Covenant
The Arrow (1997)
A new episode of The Arrow in the Head Show has just been released, and in this one hosts John “The Arrow” Fallon and Lance Vlcek are looking back at what may be the least popular entry in the Alien franchise – and if that’s the case, it’s an accomplishment that it passed some of the lesser entries on the race to the bottom. The movie in question is 2017’s Alien: Covenant (watch it Here) – and to find out what The Arrow and Lance think of it, check out the video embedded above!

Directed by Ridley Scott from a screenplay by John Logan and Dante Harper (and a story by Jack Paglen and Michael Green), Alien: Covenant has the following synopsis: Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, members of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think to be an uncharted paradise. Colin Ford in Daybreak (2019)
Battlestar Galactica: What’s Going On With the New Movie and TV Shared Universe?
Colin Ford in Daybreak (2019)
It’s been 13 years since the Galactica reached Earth. We watched in the 2009 finale “Daybreak” as Admiral Adama, President Roslin, Apollo, Starbuck, Gaius Baltar, and Caprica Six walked towards a bright and unwritten future in their new home. It was a cathartic (but predictably divisive) ending to a six-year TV journey that remains one of the best and most influential in science fiction history. There’s no question that Battlestar Galactica paved the way for other serious, gritty political sci-fi dramas like The Expanse and the recently released Foundation adaptation.

But Battlestar Galactica‘s legacy is one thing. What about its future? That’s a question NBCUniversal has struggled to answer in the years since our heroes first touched down on our planet. There were multiple attempts at spin-offs directly after the flagship series finale on the Syfy channel, including two prequels — Caprica, which told the story of Bill Adama...

‘Battlestar Galactica’ Movie Lands Simon Kinberg as Writer, Producer
Image
Fresh from shepherding the “X-Men” franchise for over a decade, Simon Kinberg has signed on to write and produce Universal’s feature adaptation of the sci-fi franchise “Battlestar Galactica,” Variety has confirmed.

Kinberg is joining producer Dylan Clark, who has long overseen development on a “BSG” movie for the studio. While Kinberg has also branched out into directing with 2019’s “X-Men” feature “Dark Phoenix” and 2021’s spy thriller “The 355,” he is not looking to direct this project.

“‘Battlestar Galactica’ is one of the holy grails in science fiction, and I couldn’t be more excited about bringing something new to the franchise, while honoring what’s made it so iconic and enduring,” Kinberg said in a statement. “I’m so grateful that Dylan and my partners at Universal have trusted me with this incredible universe.”

Is Ridley Scott Still Working on Alien: Covenant Sequel for Disney?
Ridley Scott
I think it's safe to say by this point in time that there aren't many people out there that loved Ridley Scott's recent Alien prequel Alien: Covenant. Hell, in my eyes, the movie failed as both a prequel to the original masterpiece and as a sequel to the sub-par pre-prequel Prometheus.

That said, I'd still be down for more romps in the Alien hay with cinema master Ridley Scott, and so today's news has me grinning ear-to-ear as we're hearing that Scott may still be working on Alien: Awakening. This spark of hope comes to us from a recent article that says this.

"Ridley Scott's Scott Free seems also a good bet to stay [following the merger between 20th Century Fox and Disney] beyond the next Aliens installment that he's working on, Scott is expected to next direct Merlin, a live-action movie on the formative years of the wizard, for Disney."

Battlestar Galactica Movie Wants to Gender-Swap Roles?
Mary McDonnell, Edward James Olmos, Jamie Bamber, James Callis, Aaron Douglas, Michael Hogan, Grace Park, Katee Sackhoff, and Tricia Helfer in Battlestar Galactica (2004)
Universal's long-gestating Battlestar Galactica movie is still moving forward, with director Francis Lawrence offering an interesting update while promoting his new movie Red Sparrow. While there is still no indication as to when production may actually take place, the filmmaker has been developing the script with Westworld co-creator Lisa Joy, and while no specific plot details have been divulged, the filmmaker revealed there is a strong possibility some of the iconic roles from the TV series may be gender-swapped. Here's what the director had to say when asked about the possibility of gender-swapping certain Battlestar Galactica roles.

"Yes absolutely 100 per cent! I'm not going to give any details but 100% there's room for that."

While there has been little to no movement on the project since Lawrence was brought on as director in June 2016, the director revealed in an interview last month that Battlestar Galactica is in fact still happening, although...

Is Godzilla Wearing Armor in This Latest Look at Godzilla 2?
Godzilla (2014)
Last month, Godzilla 2 director Mike Dougherty sent out a cryptic set photo hinting at a connection between this film and the original Godzilla that Toho created back in 1954. The director has finally re-emerged on social media to share another behind-the-scenes glimpse, which gives us a new look at the title monster, whose face is seen projected onto a large screen, above the cockpit of a plane. While the director wouldn't clarify any details about this particular shot, he did reveal that today is the 69th day of the production. And it very much looks like Godzilla is wearing some kind of protective armor in this shot, even though it is an early rendition used to give actors a point of reference.

Will we see Godzilla suiting up in a massive suit of armor to take on the three new monsters at the heart of this thriller? And if so, then...

Review: Alien: Covenant
Amazingly, Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant opened in June and is already out on video disc. The film’s lackluster reviews and weak box office had 20th Century Home Entertainment get this out to begin bringing in the cash the film failed to generate. The good news is that the movie is better than you were led to believe and the disc’s special features are well worth a look.

Picking up 10 years after Prometheus, this film finally begins to fill in the backstory of the acid-spewing Xenomorphs. The biggest challenge with this entry is that Scott declares in one feature he wanted to scare the shit out of his audience but had to contend with viewers who have had nearly 40 years of chest-bursting, hissing, tail-wagging, nasty bug-like beasties chasing and eating humans. Thankfully, he’s up to the challenge by finding fresh angles and editing techniques to shock his...

Godzilla Vs. Kong Timeline and Character Details Revealed | Exclusive
Godzilla (2014)
We reported back in May that director Adam Wingard is coming aboard to direct the highly-anticipated Godzilla vs. Kong, which brings both the Godzilla and King Kong franchises together. Since we still have just under three years left until this hits theaters, no specific details have been given, but our own Julian Roman spoke with Adam Wingard while promoting the director's new Netflix movie Death Note, arriving August 25. Wingard clarified some details about this epic showdown. For one, he confirmed that this movie is in fact a sequel to Godzilla 2, which is currently in production and set for release on March 22, 2019. And it will be the follow-up to this year's Kong: Skull Island. Here's what the director had to say below.

"Technically it is a sequel to Godzilla and Kong. There is Godzilla 2, which they are filming right now. We have some of the cast that is from that one.

Report Claims Alien: Covenant Almost Featured A Brawl Between Xenomorph And Neomorph
It’s no secret that Alien: Covenant underwent some creative tinkering all throughout development. Shortly after the release of Prometheus in 2012, Ridley Scott’s prequel-sequel initially entered development bearing the title Alien: Paradise – if Damon Lindelof is to be believed, that arc has been folded into the as-yet-untitled third film in Scott’s prequel saga – when John Logan, Dante Harper, Michael Green, and Jack Paglen all contributed to the story in some shape or form.

That left Ridley Scott with plenty of material to work from, and it’s small wonder why the filmmaker wound up cutting a full 20 minutes from the theatrical version of Alien: Covenant. The finer details of those deleted scenes remain a mystery for now, but it seems Alien-Covenant – the website, not the movie – has unearthed details pertaining to a nail-biting encounter between the Xenomorph and the ghoul-like Neomorph that was reportedly left on...

Adam Wingard takes the helm on Godzilla Vs Kong
Author: Zehra Phelan

Warner Bros’ Monster Universe is really starting to shape up. With the almighty monster-off destined to erupt in three years time with Godzilla Vs Kong in May 2020 a deal has been struck that will see the Blair Witch (2016) and You’re Next director Adam Wingard take up the coveted helm.

Wingard is no stranger to the monster, well in the form of horror monsters that is, rebooting 2016’s Blair Witch, 2012’s V/H/S and most recently wrapping on Netflix‘s adaptation of the horror Manga Death Note. It’s no secret Wingard has become a very sought-after talent with many fighting for his services, it was even rumoured he would be taking the helm of the Tom Hardy led Venom, instead, Ruben Fleischer has now stepped into that role.

Before the handbags at dawn battle between ape and lizard creature though comes Godzilla: King of the...

Godzilla Vs. Kong Has A Director!
The MonsterVerse, featuring Godzilla and King Kong, is in full swing, following 2014's release of Godzilla and this year's Kong: Skull Island. Not to be confused with Universal's universe featuring its own classic monsters, now called Dark Universe, the MonsterVerse's next chapter will be Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019. Following that sequel to 2014's Godzilla, Godzilla Vs. Kong is set to bring the two legendary monsters together in 2020.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the director attached to Godzilla Vs. Kong, and it's neither Godzilla's Gareth Edwards or Kong: Skull Island's Jordan Voght-Roberts. Adam Wingard, known for his work on horror films such as You're Next, The Guest, and 2016's remake of Blair Witch, has been tapped to direct the feature, from a script crafted by a writer's room including Terry Rossio (Pirates of the Caribbean), Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (Star Trek Beyond), Lindsey Beer, Cat Vasko,...

Godzilla vs. Kong: Death Note's Adam Wingard Tapped to Direct Big Monster Pic
Well. That career escalated quickly. Once the darling of the indie horror scene with small films like A Horrible Way To Die and You're Next Adam Wingard has locked in a deal to direct Godzilla vs. Kong for Legendary and Warner Bros. To date the biggest thing he has directed is his recent adaptation of the Japanese franchise Death Note for Netflix due in August.    This upcoming chapter was written by committee, lead by Pirates of the Caribbean scribe Terry Rossio. He was joined back in March for a writing pow-wow by Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne (Star Trek Beyond), Fresh faces and female voices Lindsey Beer and Cat Vasko, Maze Runner movies writer T.S. Nowlin (also Pacific Rim: Uprising), Jack Paglen (Transcendence and...

Godzilla Vs. Kong Will Be Helmed By you're Next Director Adam Wingard
Adam Wingard, the director best known for his low-budget films such as You're Next and The Guest has landed his biggest movie directing gig yet. According to Variety, he is officially set to direct the highly anticipated Godzilla Vs. Kong film for Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros.

This giant monster universe all started with Gareth Edwards' 2014 film Godzilla and it was followed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts' Kong: Skull Island. Before Godzilla Vs. Kong comes out, though, we have Godzilla: King of the Monsters coming from director Michael Dougherty.

Wingard is currently working on the live-action adaptation of Death Note for Netflix. He seems like a solid directing choice for this project, regardless of the fact he directed that terrible Blair Witch movie that came out last year. It will be interesting to see what he ends up doing with Godzilla Vs. Kong, especially with the big budget he'll have to work with.

The Guest Director Adam Wingard To Helm Godzilla Vs. Kong
One of the horror genre’s most promising talents, Adam Wingard, has been chosen to direct Godzilla vs. Kong, which Warner Bros. and Legendary are currently prepping ahead of its 2020 release. As you no doubt know, the film will be part of the studios’ new cinematic universe, one that began in 2014 with Godzilla and continued earlier this year with Kong: Skull Island.

We don’t have too many details on how the titular characters will cross paths just yet, and with Godzilla: King of Monsters (the next chapter in this franchise) not looking to stomp into theatres until March 22nd, 2019, it may be a while before we learn more. What we can tell you, though, is that Legendary and WB have put together a writers room for Godzilla vs. Kong, which is being headed up by Terry Rossio, who’ll work alongside scribes such as Cat Vasko, Jack Paglen,...

Godzilla 2 Brings in Game of Thrones Star Charles Dance
Godzilla (2014)
With production on Godzilla: King of Monsters starting next month in Atlanta, the cast continues to grow, with one returning star from 2014's Godzilla and a new cast member as well. Sally Hawkins, who played Monarch scientist Vivienne Graham, has come aboard to reprise her role, while Game of Thrones star Charles Dance has also signed on. No details have been given for Charles Dance's character at this time, but with filming scheduled to begin soon, hopefully we'll learn more about the story and the characters as production gets under way.

Deadline broke the news of both actors' casting, although it isn't clear how many more roles are left to be filled. They both join Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga and Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, who play a family that is reportedly integral to the central plot. O'Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton) has also come aboard,...

“Alien: Covenant” continues the slow march to summer blockbuster season
Say what you will about his final products, but Ridley Scott has spent quite a bit of time in the Alien world. From the aforementioned Alien to Prometheus, he has dabbled with xenomorphs more than anyone else. This week, he returns to the world once again with Alien: Covenant, a franchise outing that attempts to split the difference. It’s Scott trying to have his cake and eat it too. As you might have seen hinted over the past week or two by yours truly, I didn’t think it worked, but reviews so far have been divisive. Some love this flick, while others aren’t fans. In other words, it’s very much a Scott outing and a summer blockbuster. The film is both a sequel to Prometheus as well as a prequel to Alien. Here, we follow the crew of the colony ship Covenant. Filled with sleeping settlers...

Hair-Raising Prometheus Sequel Shows 79-year-old Scott Still Has It While Dual Fassbender Is Show-Stealer
'Alien: Covenant' review: Michael Fassbender plays android brothers David and Walter in this effective sequel to Ridley Scott's muddled 'Prometheus.' 'Alien: Covenant' review: Recapturing 'some of the excitement, awe, and horror' of 1979 original Before we get to Alien: Covenant, a rant about its predecessor, Prometheus. The problem with Ridley Scott's 2012 return to the Alien universe is that the more we learned about the skeletal, seething, phallic, vicious xenomorphs, the looser their hold on our cinematic subconscious. Much of the effectiveness of Scott's 1979 franchise starter lies in its cruel randomness; the tragedy of a horrible death being the result of bumping into the wrong stranger on the wrong street on the wrong night. Jettisoning such primal simplicity, Prometheus suggested a farfetched connection between the aliens and mankind. The result was a muddled attempt at expanding the Alien universe so it could address no less than the origins of humanity.

Alien: Covenant movie review: game over, man
MaryAnn’s quick take… A rote disappointment. There is nothing shocking or even mildly unexpected here. But there is an ironic weakening of the power of the xenomorphs to terrify. I’m “biast” (pro): love Alien and Aliens

I’m “biast” (con): wasn’t crazy about Prometheus

(what is this about? see my critic’s minifesto)

It’s difficult to imagine that there will ever be a movie scene as unexpected and as shocking as that bit in Alien — yeah, that bit — when a tiny horrifying alien creature, all teeth and slither, bursts out of poor John Hurt’s chest and slowly gawps around as if to say, “That’s right, meatbags: I, your worst nightmare, have arrived.” We sure as hell are not going to see a replication of the paralyzing terror those of us in the cinema darkness shared with the human onlookers onscreen if no...

Godzilla vs. Kong Movie Sets Up Own Writer’s Room Headed By Pirates Co-Writer
Movies are the new Television. Well, sort of. In recent years, in the midst of mass sequelization and the rise of long-running film franchises, it’s become commonplace to plan out your movies well in advance of their release. Perhaps best known for this is Marvel Studios. Following the success of Phase 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they’ve announced their slate of films beforehand in advance. The folks over at Paramount took this idea and escalated it to the next level, but announcing a writers room led by Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman to map out the future of the Transformers franchise. Now, it sounds like the folks over at the MonsterVerse will be doing the same for the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong movie.

According to THR, Legendary and Warner Bros have hired screenwriter Terry Rossio — best known for co-writing the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies with Ted...
