While writing "Invincible," Robert Kirkman wears his love for other superhero comics on his sleeves. As you read or watch "Invincible," you can tell Kirkman is getting his desire to write Spider-Man out of his system; Mark Grayson is one of the best portrayals of Peter Parker, with similar strengths and flaws.
Most of the other major heroes and villains in "Invincible" have Marvel/DC counterparts, too. Mark's girlfriend Atom Eve is Mary Jane Watson but with superpowers. Cecil Stedman is Nick Fury, just with a scarred cheek instead of an eyepatch. The original Guardians of the Globe are the Justice League, to a member: Darkwing is Batman, War Woman is Wonder Woman, and Red Rush is Flash. That's why it's so harrowing when Omni-Man brutally kills the Guardians. There's only one survivor, the Immortal, who lives up to his name and regenerates. But which hero is the Immortal based on?...

You can tell a lot about a comic book character by the kind of costume they wear. Capes, cowls, and color schemes all serve a purpose, and it's often more than just making the hero or villain look cool enough to warrant action figures. "Invincible" is a love letter to the whole genre of superhero comics in many ways, and as such, it pays tribute to many classic comic characters through its own costumes, like those for Darkwing (Lennie James), Red Rush (Michael Cudlitz), the various Guardians of the Globe, and Omni-Man (J. K. Simmons).
Invincible himself (Steven Yeun) gets a revamped look a few episodes into season 3, swapping out the yellow, black, and light blue for a simpler, starker outfit of dark blue and black only. Superman & Lois season 4 has managed to perfect the DC show's equivalent of the McU's Kingpin a year before the Marvel character returns to screens in Daredevil: Born Again. Vincent D'Onofrio's depiction of Kingpin is regarded as one of the best on-screen adaptations of a supervillain of all time, with Wilson Fisk feeling as human and believable as he is merciless and wrathful. This is no doubt a big part of the reason his version of Kingpin returned alongside Charlie Cox's Daredevil in the MCU, since recasting would've been theoretically possible for both roles.
As such, comparisons between the McU's Kingpin and other villains found in superhero media are not uncommon, as the engaging take on Fisk is a prime example of a quality supervillain performance. Interestingly, DC have recently cemented another series' villain as a solid equivalent of the McU's Kingpin, though the pair haven't seen many...

The Boys Season 4 has been receiving criticism for its focus on the shock value over a compelling plot. However, one of the few storylines that impressed audiences this season would be A-Train’s redemption arc. Jessie T. Usher’s A-Train has undergone significant character development in the last few episodes, leading fans to speculate whether he will face his end soon.
Jessie T. Usher as A-Train in The Boys | Prime Video
A fight between Homelander and A-Train is inevitable in the series, and fans share their suggestions on how the fight should proceed. Fans don’t want a one-sided battle like the one between Omni-Man and Red Rush in Invincible. They would rather have a badass fight like the one between Ikaris and Makkari in Marvel’s Eternals.

Invincible Season 2 had a bunch of guest cameos from acclaimed voice actors, such as Peter Cullen, known for his work with Optimus Prime, being the voice of the coalition’s leader Thaddeus. There were also cameos from Shantel VanSanten (Becca from The Boys) as Anissa and Calista Flockhart (Cat Grant from CW’s Supergirl) as April Howsam. The show has another super-hero television alum in its ranks who is yet to make an appearance: Chloe Bennet (Quake from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D).

The following contains spoilers for Invincible Season 2, Episode 3, "This Missive, This Machination!," which premiered Nov. 17 on Prime Video.
While the first season tweaked parts of the narrative, Season 2 of Invincible is making even more changes. Episode 1 reworked sub-arcs such as Cecil not rushing to hire Mark. There's also a lot more shown with Evil Mark and Omni-Man in another reality.
Episode 2 doubled down on the adjustments. It had Earth actively wanting to attack the Sequids on Mars, it made Mark's journey to Atlantis more hostile, and gave supporting characters like Atom Eve more depth in rebuilding Chicago. Episode 3 doesn't hold back either by making what may well be the biggest changes in the series.
Debbie Has Group Therapy Close
In the comics, Debbie was drinking and depressed after Nolan left Earth. She couldn't handle knowing she was in love, all while Omni-Man spun his lie. Her son Mark, however, would...

The following contains spoilers for Invincible Season 2, Episode 3, "This Missive, This Machination!," which premiered Nov. 17 on Prime Video.
In Invincible Season 2, Mark Grayson has a lot to juggle in life. He's trying to prove to Earth that his alter ego, Invincible, won't turn on them the way J.K. Simmons' Omni-Man did. The Global Defense Agency is still on the fence, sensing an impressionable Mark is someone whose progress they have to monitor closely.
It's why Cecil and the Immortal are keeping a cynical eye on Mark's evolution as a superhero. This shapes a threat Mark may not see coming. He...

Invincible season 2 introduces a new support group for spouses of superheroes, which wasn't in the original comics, but adds depth to Debbie Grayson's character. The support group allows the show to explore the guilt and emotional aftermath that Debbie feels after her husband's revelation, making her storyline more interesting. Debbie's involvement with the support group sets up future conflicts and challenges for her character, especially with the return of Omni-Man and potential backlash from other spouses.
Invincible season 2, episode 3 just added an all-new storyline that wasn't in the original comic series, with this addition correcting a major character injustice from the source material. Invincible is a show that tends to be pretty faithful to the comics, with it very rarely making significant changes to the original story. However, Invincible season 2's newest addition can't be found anywhere in the source material, to the surprise of many fans.

The following contains spoilers for Invincible Season 2, Episode 1, "A Lesson for Your Next Life," which premiered Nov. 3 on Prime Video.
One of things trailers for Season 2 of Invincible promised was a lot more action. Fans saw glimpses of the Guardians of the Globe trying to improve against many enemies after J.K. Simmons' Omni-Man left Earth. Of course, the core of the story, Nolan's son Mark, is present as well, eager to show he can safeguard the planet, too -- whether solo or with the Guardians.
Interestingly, with Invincible introducing Angstrom Levy, viewers have been eager to know how much of the source material has been altered for his Multiversal shenanigans. Season 1 made quite a few changes, but they worked in the show's favor. Similarly, Season 2 is also tweaking things, but thankfully, it creates more depth and emotion as well.

Warning: This article contains Spoilers for the Invincible comics.
Mark and Eve's potential relationship in Invincible makes sense given their shared experiences as heroes and their understanding of each other's struggles in relationships. While the TV show may deviate from the comics, it seems inevitable that Mark and Eve will eventually form a romantic connection, potentially in season 2. Although there are still plenty of villains to deal with, the show could focus more on Mark and Eve's romance as the story progresses in Invincible season 2.
Invincible season 1 highlighted the chemistry and connection between Mark Grayson (Ak Invincible) and Atom Eve, and while they are currently not together in the show, the comics reveal more about their future. A potential relationship between Mark and Eve could be in the cards given that Eve is single while Mark and Amber almost broke up. Despite them being on different paths as of now,...
