Gena Lashay is a native of Sarasota, Florida, and a proud graduate of Booker Visual and Performing Arts High School. It was there that her passion for the arts and storytelling was sparked, particularly through her involvement in theater. An award-winning, published plus-size model, Gena has made a name for herself in the fashion industry while expanding her talents into television and film. She has appeared in several national commercials and has taken on acting roles in feature films, including a supporting role as Juanita Turner in Get Close and Get Close 2. She also starred in Destiny: A Love Story Gone Wrong, further showcasing her versatility and dedication to her craft.
