John Patrick Barry

Born in South Korea, Barry was adopted by an American family and raised in rural Maryland where he grew up performing in choir, show choir, and various school plays. Graduating from Western Maryland College after studying the fine arts and being inducted into the dramatic arts honors fraternity of Alpha Psi Omega, Barry was accepted to the Maryland State Police Academy where he served as a State Trooper for several years before retiring from an on-duty injury, but not until after receiving Waterloo's Trooper of the Year. Barry returned to his acting roots in 2003 after his early retirement from law enforcement. He booked work on Captain Phillips and various other projects on the East Coast before moving to Los Angeles in 2013 where he was cast in Ana Maria in Novelaland, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Tosh.0, Team Coco, and more. He moved to Atlanta, GA in late 2022.
