Chelsia Chan
Rocketed to stardom and music industry after winning the first prize at an amateur creative singing contest in 1975 in Hong Kong with a self-composed English song "Dark Side of Your Mind". She also wrote the lyrics.

At the age of 19 in 1976, she won the leading actress award of Golden Horse Film Festival, Taiwan. She is so far the youngest winner with the shortest screen life (seven years) in the Festival's history. The movie was "Qiu Xia" (Chelsia My Love) which is also her own birth name. The lyrics of the theme song "By Chance" are adapted from a poem of the same name of the famous Mainland Chinese poet Xu Zhimo. She composed the music adding a short piece of Franz Schubert's serenade. She was also the vocalist of it.

Her manager was gunned down during a USA tour shortly before she got married.

Alan Tam was one of the best men of her wedding. Alan Tam and Kenny Bee were members of the greatly successful group "The Wynners" in the 70s.

Her spouse is presently the chairman of National Economic Development Committee (Malaysia) and the President of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM).
