J. R. (Joe) Hartigan can be seen as Mr. Price in the newly released film Festival of Trees, as Albert in Blood Thirst and as Mallory in Eclipse on Blood Mountain. He traveled to the Dominican Republic to play Cpl. Rat Cunningham in the Italian film Bye Bye Viet Nam (credit as Hofigan Jr.) and has lent his talents to student films. Joe has appeared in several commercials and industrial films and has been narrating audio books - most notably First Watch: Charlie's Secret by Kathleen Stickney where he voiced over thirty characters and a fascinating biography, Joe's Dash: From Million Dollar Drug Busts to Multi-Million Dollar Collections for Las Vegas Casinos by Linda Ellis He studied acting, theatre and screenwriting at Palm Beach State College where he was cast as Alley in Hands Across the Sea and as Ken DeLaMaize in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 at the school's popular Eissey Theatre. He played Biff Baker in The 1940's Radio Hour at the Lake Worth Playhouse. Joe recently appeared on stage professionally as Beverly Weston in August: Osage County. His writing credits include The Wheelchair which has won several awards and a co-writing effort The Little Theatre Story, which has also won screenwriting awards. Mr. Hartigan is also co-executive producer on The Little Theatre Story. Post production is slated to complete in early 2025. When not acting. writing or producing. Joe enjoys tossing pizza for friends, riding his motorcycle and competing in fencing tournaments around the country. He is also studying guitar and Italian. His dog Riley has been very supportive in all Joe's efforts.
