Gaurav Prabhakar Mali is an independent writer & filmmaker from India. In 2016, he started his own production house called - The Raw Films with the motive of making original content on a limited budget. He has made several award-winning short films, music videos, documentaries, and ad films in a short time. One of his award-winning short films - 1869 has already crossed millions of views on YouTube while accumulating remarkable appreciation from all over the world.
In 2010, he went to the Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies (GITS), Udaipur where he used to take part in several plays and win awards in multiple competitions. Though his teachers and parents always encouraged him to be an Engineer but studying at a College changed his mind. After graduating with a b.tech in Electronics & Communication, he decided to try his hand at content writing and filmmaking. He has been learning cinematography, lighting techniques, editing, and other filmmaking practices through online sources since 2015. He also organizes acting and filmmaking workshops every year to teach writing, direction, and other techniques he has acquired so far. His latest short film Cycle has won 12 awards in multiple international film festivals.
