Shudder‘s infectious found footage horror-comedy Deadstream finally heads home to Blu-ray today, with an exclusive SteelBook Blu-ray release now available at Walmart.

Even better news is that the release comes loaded with special features worthy of this funhouse horror-comedy debut. Take a peek at the limited SteelBook art below.

Deadstream follows a disgraced internet personality who attempts to win back his followers by livestreaming one night alone in a haunted house. But when he accidentally pisses off a vengeful spirit, his big comeback event becomes a real-time fight for his life.

It’s the summer of screams on Screambox!

This June was absolutely jam-packed with several horror gems hitting our Screambox streaming service, including the hotly anticipated must-see definitive documentary Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story, not to mention Wes Craven’s original A Nightmare on Elm Street, Tobe Hooper’s classic 1995 adaptation of The Mangler (also starring Robert Englund), George A. Romero’s zombie classic Day of the Dead, Marcus Dunstan’s slasher The Collector, the supernatural festival hit Jethica, the Screambox Original body horror thriller New Religion, and the entire Subspecies franchise!

We’re ending the month with a bang, also dropping both David Cronenberg and the Soska Sisters’ Rabid, which are now streaming on Screambox.

Interestingly, David Cronenberg’s 1977 masterpiece is actually a Christmas-set horror film. In the film, surgery leaves a Montreal motorcyclist with a bloodsucking appendage in her armpit. Soon she has an insatiable thirst for human blood.

One month after the second season of “Warrior Nun” debuted on Netflix last year, the streaming service opted not to renew the series for a third, we learned back in December.

This week, however, the “Warrior Nun” news is surprisingly good. It seems that due to a whole lot of fan demand, the cancelled Netflix series is getting a second chance at life.

Creator Simon Barry tweeted late last night, “Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more Epic than you could imagine. More details to come! Soon! Thank-you!!”

Does this mean “Warrior Nun” Season 3 will be airing on Netflix, or has another network/streamer picked up the show? We don’t have any details at this time. Stay tuned.

After receiving a limited theatrical release just last month, Bloody Disgusting has learned today that sequel The Wrath of Becky will be heading home later this week.

The Wrath of Becky hits Digital outlets – rental & purchase – on Friday, June 16!

Meagan wrote in her review of The Wrath of Becky for Bd, “Armed with John Wick-like motivation, Becky plunges into a vengeful quest that provokes more violence, bloodletting, and a higher body count. This time a more well-rounded sense of humor offsets her wrath.”

In the film, “Two years after she escaped a violent attack on her family, Becky attempts to rebuild her life in the care of an older woman – a kindred spirit named Elena. But when a group known as the “Noble Men” break into their home, attack them, and take her beloved dog, Diego, Becky must return to her old ways to protect herself and her loved ones.

Despite the mixed reactions and a lackluster box office reaction to last year’s Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, Sony is apparently forging ahead with another film. Sudbury.com has let slip that the city has received funding for a new film project called “The Umbrella Chronicles”.

The city, which was one of the filming locations for Welcome to Raccoon City, will be receiving $2 million Cad from the provincial government for the project, which is being developed by Raccoon Hg Film Productions. That same production company was behind the 2021 movie.

Sony has not officially announced a sequel to the Johannes Roberts-directed film, but given that the credits hinted at a sequel, things are looking like it’s in the works. After all, it would appear that this sequel is taking its name from the 2007 on-rails shooter Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
