While smuggling specimens of a secret experiment to win WWII for the Germans, one escapes onboard the German U-boat, U-230. Nearly the entire crew is massacred by the loose creature for the exception of a few crew members screaming for help after barricading themselves in a compartment.

The critically damaged sub runs aground where the experiment escapes on shore through a breach in the hull. The creature has made the dead onboard reanimate as zombies, one of which is the captain, Korvettenkapitan Klaus (Played by Davan Scott). All efforts to save the sub by Klaus are futile as he and the few survivors are trapped in their "iron coffin" before U-230 will slip below the waves forever in minutes.

This area on the William A. Irvin Haunted Ship Tours was designed and built by Davan Scott for the 2023 Haunted Ship in Duluth, Minnesota.

Davan Scott is an American actor born in Duluth, Minnesota. He began acting in 2004 onboard the S.S. William A. Irvin for the "Duluth Haunted Ship." His work primarily involves both horror and comedy genres. Davan Scott is also a U.S. Navy veteran, serving active duty from 2006-2010 and Reserves/U.S. Navy Cadets from 2010-2022.
