Carol Marques da Costa is a multi-disciplinary Brazilian artist, known for her work as an actress, director and performance artist. She received training from CPT/SESC-SP under the direction of Antunes Filho from 2016 to 2017 and also worked as a teacher at the CPT Course of Introduction to the Actor's Method in 2017.

In 2020, Carol starred in her debut feature film "The Basement of the Scream Street" (2022), produced by Coração da Selva and directed by Sabrina Greve. The film premiered at the 46th São Paulo International Film Festival in 2022 as part of the "new directors" competition. In the same year, Carol wrote and co-directed her first short film "Pier" (2023) in partnership with Luiza Marques da Costa and Frontera Films, which was awarded the ProAC Lab grant.

Carol is also a co-founder of Màli Teatro, a theater group that has been continuously researching Greek Tragedy since 2020. The group's latest project is the play "Do I Not Seem Alive to You?" (2023) based on "Electra" by Sophocles and directed by Marcos de Andrade. Carol joined the cast of the play "Playing with Thoughts: Clarice Lispector's Tales on Stage for Big or Small People," (2023) directed by Vanessa Bruno for the Zé Renato Award.

Previously, Carol starred in the play "45 Degrees", based on Dostoevsky's novel "The Meek One" (2019) directed by Marcos de Andrade at SESC Avenida Paulista with Màli Teatro. She also participated in the CASA Festival in London with the play "Letters to Agnès: a cine-essay based on the work of Agnès Varda" (2019) directed by Vanessa Bruno. Additionally, she was part of the Dramaturgy Nucleus at SESI-British Council in 2018, where she wrote "Meia Luz" (2018) a play published by SESI publishing house.

Carol graduated from the Escola Superior de Artes Célia Helena with a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts in 2023, under the direction of artist and director Elisa Ohtake. During her studies, she collaborated with Maria Clara Strambi, resulting in a duo that continuously researches performance and body arts. Their works include the documentary short film "Manifesto: dialogues between Antunes Filho and Merleau-Ponty" (2022), which was selected to be screened at the 5th MAF-Marginal Art Festival at Eurart Gallery in Leiria, Portugal. They also created the video performance "In Loco" (2023), which explores the physical activation of presence in a tropical terrain away from the city.

Aside from her artistic endeavors, Carol has over 12 years of experience as a Vinyasa Yoga practitioner and was awarded by ProAC to develop a video lesson on "Just Breathe: Prana in the Actor's Training" (2023). She also incorporates classical ballet, dance, and yoga into her artistic journey.
