Born and raised in China, Yinghui is a bilingual writer and director with a passion for telling rebellious stories about womanhood, identity, and transformation. As an emerging filmmaker in both narrative film and episodic television, Yinghui has gained nationwide recognition for her work. Yinghui's films have been selected in Oscar-qualifying and BAFTA-qualifying film festival LA Shorts for two years in a row. Slobopoly, a web series pilot she directed in 2023, won the Best Comedy Series at the 43rd College Television Awards judged by Television Academy members.
