Super King Reza aka Michael Heath is a Chicago based Actor/Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Improvisor/Hip-Hop & RnB Artist.
He graduated from Iowa State University in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Performing Arts (Acting/Directing) He moved to Chicago and began taking classes in Improv at iO Theatre after reading Amy Poehlers book "Yes Please" eventually dropping out to join Anarchy: an Improvised Rock Opera.
In 2016 Michael/Reza, released his first project under the name King Reza called "ways" Produced by Brad Kemp (whom he met thru Anarchy: an improvised Rock Opera) and featured the hit single "tear" He later began rapping under the name Super King Reza. He released an album with Jay Minor called "We Don't Have To Go NoWhere" (2017) which featured the music video "Instacoffee" (Mason Douglass)
After gaining momentum sharing his music on YouTube, Super King Reza made the top 200 for American Idol in 2017 a highlight was singing his song "tear" for Katy Perry and Lionel Richie two of his favorite songwriters (The episode was never aired.)
At a bbq in Chicago, with other improvisers he met fellow actor/musician Dylan Carey aka Groovebox and asked him to beatbox on the song "vibez" also featuring Luke Null (Saturday Night Live) on Bass guitar. A year later, Super King Reza & Groovebox began creating music together eventually releasing the albums "Everything You Need" (2018), "Mosey" (2019) and "The Lonely Tape: a visual EP" (2024) "The Lonely Tape" was written and recorded in 2019 but the release was held back due to the Covid -19 Pandemic. Super King Reza claims this was a set back and he struggled with severe depression and anxiety, but used it as an opportunity to do a slow roll out of the project creating "Visualizers" for each song on the EP over the course of the next 5 years. The song "Orbit" was eventually featured on Late Night Discovery featuring Hudson Yang and J.K. Simmons.
In 2024 he announced his solo project "Ganymedes" would be released in April of 2025 and that he was pursuing more acting opportunities... at his loving mother's request.
