Interview with actress, director, producer Sage Hall
Halloween, trick or treating, baking and eating all kinds of various baked goods, sitting around the house watching silly old horror movies, the ties of the mother / son bond - director Sage Hill managed to cram all these elements into a cohesive and stylish short film entitled Candy that ran only 8 minutes! With Candy, which also stars horror genre regular Jesse Kozel, Sage Hall showed an ability to tap into the various elements of nostalgia that are near and dear to the hearts of many a young male horror fan. With Candy, she also stepped in front of the camera as one of the film's leads. While admittedly she isn't going to be winning an Oscar anytime soon for her acting abilities, she did bring to life the idea of this over protective mom. Her performance, in essence, recalled a moment in life that I am sure every young adolescent...

Review: Candy (A New Horror Short By Jesse Kozel And Sage Hall)
You know what I like? Candy! No not that kind, well yes that kind but I'm talking about the new horror short by Jesse Kozel and Sage Hall just in time for Trick 'r Treat season!

                     "Everyone has a sweet tooth"

Candy tells the story of a disfunctional family (mother and son) who have a very close and kind of weird reletionship, one that many of us have seen while visiting friends or maybe even "distant" relatives.

The story is a lot of fun with Marcus (Kozel) having his date Jenny (Jenny Bears) over all to h mother Candy's (Hall) surprise.  As Candy surprisingly bonds with Marcus' new friend Jenny in the beginning, jealousy spews as he starts feeling left out and then towards the end certain words are said that Jenny simply can't take back, along with her mockery of the mother/son bond that is all so...

Exclusive Interview: Actor Jesse Kozel Vs. Brian S
Jesse Kozel is another talent that I include in the group I call "The Nex Gen of Horror", don't get me wrong the guy does so much more than besides horror films. He has a family film on the way and also hits the stage from time to time. With what is happening to independent film right now and the positive buzz it's getting you get a first hand look at one of the reasons why this is happening. Check out my latest "Versus" with Jesse Kozel as we cover his new projects, appearances he'll be making, how he balances acting and writing with producing and why he's such an all around great guy! And if he can hook a brother up!

Brian S- First off you have quite a few projects in the works, let's start with Alien Vengeance.

Jesse Kozel- 'Alien Vengeance' is part of...

                                                    "Everyone has a sweet tooth"

Would you like to be a part of the actual making of a movie? Well you can with Jesse Kozel's project called Candy! Jesse Kozel is a part of what I call the 'Next Gen. of Horror' and the guy is talented. Not only is he directing Candy but he also wrote it and is producing it along with actress Sage Hall, oh and he'll also be starring in it along with her and others. Check out all of the images we have on Candy and watch the trailer below that has a Hitchcock/Halloween feel all over it! If you're like me and fed up with the Hollyweird remakes then help out indie projects like this one! This is the future right here and we all have a chance to be a part of it!  Oh and who doesn't love sweets?

Women of horror sign up to create a Hellstorm
Female stars of independent horror flicks have joined the cast of writer/director Keith Smith's new movie Hellstorm.

Debbie Rochon (Colour From the Dark, Slime City Massacre), Devanny Pinn (15 Til Midnight, Piranha 3-D), Natacha Izel (100 Tears, Jonah Hex) and Regan Deal (pictured, Cabin Fever 2) have signed on to star in what is billed as "one of the biggest indie films to come out of Texas in a long time."

The poster for the film has been sent over to us, and is included below. We also have the official synopsis.

The synopsis is as follows: "A group of architectural students, their professor and chaperone are trapped in an abandoned building during a freak storm. Soon they encounter something much more terrifying than the storm itself."

Filming will start in the autumn with the aim of a 2011 release.

Rounding out the cast are some new faces as well as some...
