Irina Pegova is Russian theater and film actress. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2012). Winner of the Russian theater prize 'Golden Mask' 2005 and 2008. In 1995 she entered the department "Actor of Dramatic Theater and Cinema" of the Gorkiy Theater School (creative director - Vasiliy Bogomazov). During her studies, she was noticed by director Pyotr Fomenko. In 1997, after leaving the second year of study at the school, Pegova went to Moscow and entered GITIS on an actor-director's course of Pyotr Fomenko. In 2001, immediately after the end of GITIS, she was accepted into the troupe of the Moscow theater "Pyotr Fomenko Workshop". She played in the performances 'White Nights', 'Wolves and Sheep', 'One Absolutely Happy Village', 'War and Peace. Beginning of the novel', 'Mad of Chaillot' and others. In 2003, Irina Pegova played the first major film role in Aleksey Uchitel's film Progulka (2003). Since 2004, she has been working with the Moscow Studio Theater under the direction of Oleg Tabakov, where she was engaged in the performances 'Wife', 'A Tale of Happy Moscow', 'Mad Day, or The Marriage of Figaro', 'Uncle Vanya'. Since 2006 Irina is an actress of the Moscow Art Theater named after Anton Chekhov. In 2012 she was invited to the Moscow Academic Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky for the main role in the play 'Talents and Fans' based on the play by Aleksandr Ostrovskiy of the same name, directed by Mindaugas Karbauskis.
