Dr. Leigh Hickmott is known for Expedition Killer Whale (2024), Frozen Planet II (2022) - Antarctic killer whale scientific advisor for wave washing sequences (episodes 1 and 4). Leigh is a whale biologist and science communicator based in the UK, with specialist knowledge of beaked whales (Ziphiidae), Antarctic wildlife (notably killer whales) and Patagonia's blue whales. He has conducted cetacean research from the Arctic to the Antarctic and many warmer places in between.
