Prime Video may sound like it is taking full responsibility for the latest movie to land at the top of the global chart, and for many people that is probably the least it could do. My Fault: London has debuted at number one worldwide (currently number two in the U.S.) as it was pretty much guaranteed to do thanks to the success of the heavily panned 2023 Spanish-language movie My Fault (Culpa Mia) and its 2024 sequel Your Fault (Culpa Tuya). Released on February 13, just in time to rope in some young lovebirds with its illicit romantic storyline, and strange comparisons to the Fast & Furious franchise, the English-language remake has failed to improve on the franchise’s reputation with critics thanks to essentially being a straight remake of the original movie.

Mirdania (Amelia Kenworthy) was one of the Gwaith-i-Mrdain Elven-smiths and Celebrimbors (Charles Edwards) protog, with her fate in The Rings of Power even more tragic than her mentor's. Mirdania, like the Elves of Eregion (and most of Middle-earth), was manipulated by Sauron (Charlie Vickers) into helping craft the Rings of Power before meeting her demise at his hand. Celebrimbor was likewise deceived by Sauron, meeting the same fate, but there was one significant difference between their deaths.
Mirdanias Rings of Power character foretells, nearly verbatim, what is to befall Celebrimbor. Celebrimbor often mimics her actions in the proceeding scene or episode, creating a symmetry between the characters. Mirdania and Celebrimbor both offered shelter to Sauron, even though they were told to do otherwise. They also both help him craft rings for men. After initially aiding Sauron, they glimpsed who he really was but were further manipulated into not seeing his actual corrupt state,...

Warning: This review contains spoilers for The Rings of Power's season 2 finaleThe Rings of Power is playing the long game. That's been clear since reports first emerged about creators Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne's five-season, billion-dollar plan for J.R.R. Tolkien's masterworks. To tell a story at this scale with this level of production value, planning is vital. But, part of what makes television so great is improvisation. Sure, it can lead to less-than-stellar results. But improvisation, or lack of a detailed map, has led to some of the best television ever created.

The most recent episode of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, entitled "Doomed to Die," is an action-packed affair. Adar and his army of orcs are attacking the Elven city of Eregion, while Sauron manipulates the city's leader Celebrimbor inside its walls. The fighting is brutal, and there are a couple of minor character deaths. At one point the eld Mirdania (Amelia Kenworthy) falls off a wall and splatters on the ground.
We didn't know Mirdania particularly well, but that's a rough way to go. And we didn't see the half of it. As stunt coordinator and second unit director Vic Armstrong explained to SlashFilm, Mirdania's original death scene was way, way more brutal. "[Director Charlotte Brändström] said, 'Give me some really gruesome bits!' So I said, 'Ok.'"

Warning! Spoilers for Rings of Power season 2, episode 7 ahead! The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power put out a spectacular episode, but one questionable moment will make this a harder fact to recognize. Everything has been boiling down to these final two episodes of season 2, in which the Siege of Eregion finally breaks out in full force. It's a chance for Prime Video to prove that this is a Lord of the Rings adaptation worth its salt, and it has so far followed through. Rings of Power season 2, episode 7, was full of action, surprises, and dazzling performances, but a single change to canon could overshadow much of this.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 stunt coordinator and second unit director Vic Armstrong explains Morfydd Clark's Galadriel evolution. Returning for its sophomore outing last month, Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings series, which hails from creators Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne, continues to put Galadriel front and center in the action. In The Rings of Power season 2, Galadriel's quest against Sauron rages once more from season 1, and the Elven warrior remains a major force for change in Middle-earth, both on the battlefield and off.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Armstrong touches on how Clark's Galadriel has changed in The Rings of Power season 2, revealing some of the behind-the-scenes filming details. Armstrong shares immense praise for Clark and her physicality as a performer, as well as her positive attitude towards stunts and doing her own action sequences, particularly when it comes to horse riding.

Warning! Major spoilers ahead for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2, episode 7.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2, episode 7, second unit director Vic Armstrong reveals that one major Elf death in the episode was originally much more gory. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power debuts a new clip from season 2, episode 7, showing Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) emerging out from under Sauron's (Charlie Vickers) grasp. Created by Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne, the hit Prime Video fantasy series returned for its sophomore outing in August, charting Sauron's rise in Middle-earth during the Second Age. Sauron's main task in The Rings of Power season 2 has been forging the titular rings, and Celebrimbor, as a great Elven smith, has become an unfortunate victim of his dark influence.
Now, IGN releases a new clip from The Rings of Power season 2, episode 7, showing a quiet moment between Sauron and Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) in the latter character's forge. The clip sees Celebrimbor seemingly seeing the light after so many episodes of darkness, explaining the beauty of his work. Speak, friend, and enter ... but only after watching the first three episodes of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" season 2. Major spoilers abound.
"The Rings of Power" is officially back and better than ever, and with it comes all the usual deep-cut references to complicated lore that author J.R.R. Tolkien first dreamed up all those decades ago. Much of that ended up on the big screen in Peter Jackson's "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" trilogies, taking some seriously out-there topics and turning them into pop culture staples. In no time at all, everyone knew about the seductive temptations inherent in the various rings of power, the stark differences between Hobbits and elves and dwarves, and all the nerdiest details that, once upon a time, only ever existed in fan-run wiki sites and niche internet forums. A new dawn and a new era is truly upon us,...

Evil reveals itself. Ahead of its premiere, Prime Video has released the final trailer for Season 2 of “The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power.” The big-budget high fantasy series is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s original “Lord of the Rings” trilogy during the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. Per the official Season 2 logline, after being cast out by Galadriel without army or ally, Sauron has returned, and the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power. Today brings us some big news for the most annoying people you know. Seemingly out of nowhere, "The Lord of the Rings" has become a hot commodity once again between the recent announcement of the "Hunt for Gollum" spin-off/prequel movie, this year's upcoming animated effort titled "The War of the Rohirrim," and, of course, the ongoing television show that's caused no controversy or divided opinions whatsoever known as "The Rings of Power."
Set thousands of years prior to the events of "The Fellowship of the Ring" during the period known as the Second Age, season 1 of the wildly expensive streaming series was a solid and enjoyable enough experience that attempted to reach the same heights as Peter Jackson's original trilogy. It may not have become the instant "Game of Thrones"-sized cultural juggernaut that Prime Video was likely hoping for -- it's worth noting that even the hit...

Even though it narrowly lost out in the ratings to rival fantasy series “House of the Dragon,” “The Rings of Power” was unquestionably one of the biggest TV shows of 2022. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has cast an ex-Game of Thrones star, months after another big GoT name dropped out.
It was announced on Monday (20 March) that three new actors will appear in the forthcoming season.
These include Rory Kinnear, Tanya Moodie and Irish actor Ciarán Hinds, who appeared in HBO series Thrones as Mance Rayder as well as the cable channel’s Rome, playing Julius Caesar.
His casting comes after Joseph Mawle, who played Benjen Stark in Thrones, quit the role of Adar following the conclusion of season one.
Mawle made his debut as the orc leader when the show, based on the work of Jrr Tolkien, was released on Prime Video in September.
He took centre stage as the series progressed, and by the end of the season, is shown to become “king of the Southlands” before changing the location’s name to...
