Nasim Benelkour

Nasim Benelkour is an African American, Puerto Rican, Moroccan, and Bisexual (LGBTQ) Voice Actor based in Dallas, Texas. They have worked across the voice over world, featuring in Animation, Video Games, Anime, Commercials, Live Action Films, and more. His most profound work includes titles that have been showcased and or directly worked on with Crunchyroll, WEBTOON, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Steam, Apple TV, Spotify, Amazon Prime Video, and hundreds of other well-known spaces in the industry.

As one of the youngest voice-over actors in their generation to work in the anime dubbing industry, with their first gig in the genre received at just eighteen years old, and initially starting their career at an even younger age, their dedication to the craft could be seen by anyone. Their work in this selected genre is nothing short of impressive, booking of their most well-known roles, Piccolo (MINI) in the English Dub of Dragon Ball DAIMA, only one year later of starting their journey in the anime dubbing industry. Such feats are acknowledged by him as privileges, as he continues to be grateful for every opportunity he's ever received. But even so, he doesn't seem to be stopping there, as their obsession and talent for the craft grows, they seem to be stopping at nothing to achieve their dreams.

The journey of Nasim Benelkour started in his hometown, Brooklyn, NY. Voice-over wasn't the initial career path he had planned out, as he began as an aspiring stop motion animator. Taking his interests with the toys and figures he had in his possession, and making small stop motion films with them. Granted, the films themselves were nothing special at first glance, but the work effort he put into his passion projects would soon be the driving force of the career choice he stuck with. With falling out of his craft of animation later into his years, and moving away to another state, he decided to take up other passions. This included sports, the arts, video games, pretty much anything to keep him busy and interested. Upon taking up voice over, something he normally did himself in his animation projects, he found this passion to be more fulfilling than anything else. Eventually, he would pour everything into turning this passion and talent, into a lifelong career. Nasim would travel out of state to attend conventions to ask advice of well-known talent in the voiceover space, take up classes with professionals to improve his ability, research into webinars/interviews to obtain more information about the industry, as well as many things to progress his career by the day.

Throughout his career, he continues to build a reputation as a respectful, hardworking, and passionate individual. No matter the position he finds himself in his career, he always continues to show appreciation in everything he's lucky enough to have.
