Marvel director makes the X-Men announcement we’ve been waiting for
Image
Let's rewind time all the way back to 2017. Disney officially announced its intention to acquire 21st Century Fox, and superhero fans around the world celebrated this prospect. At long last, there was a small but very real possibility of watching the X-Men cross paths with Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Now, it's just a matter of time before that day is here.

Mutants have gradually started to appear in more and more Marvel Cinematic Universe projects over the years. It all started when a multiversal variant of Professor Xavier made a brief cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and now Deadpool and Wolverine are sharing the big screen in their own team-up movie.

Marvel's next MCU saga might not be the one we hoped for after all
Image
What do we want in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? We want mutants, and more importantly, the X-Men! When are we getting it?! No one knows.

We’ve seen clues of mutants' inevitable to the MCU arrival in the Multiverse Saga through titles such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, and more. However, other than the past actors from 20th Century Fox X-Men franchise appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, there hasn’t been confirmation of when we’ll see Marvel’s Mightiest Mutants taking center stage. Sadly, this won’t be an article that gives hope for an upcoming mutant-led project.

Although Marvel Studios Preisdent Kevin Feige previously revealed that the "Mutants Era" would be the next chapter of the MCU that doesn't necessarily mean that it will be titled "The Mutants Saga". And now, a new report has cast doubt on just...

X-men '97: Marvel's Brad Winderbaum Confirms That Season 2 Won't Arrive Until 2026
Image
Late last year, a rumor did the rounds that the highly-anticipated second season of X-Men '97 wouldn't premiere until 2026, and the lengthy wait has now been confirmed by Marvel's Brad Winderbaum.

"Season 2 of X-Men ‘97 is going to be in ‘26. We're working on it now," Winderbaum tells Collider. "It's exciting. That world of the ‘90s is just… Honestly, I can't believe they let me make it. I grew up at Marvel, as you know, clocked a lot of time here, and I feel like I used a lot of currency to revive this thing that I loved watching after school. So, the fact that we get to play in that universe with those actors is honestly why I went into this business in the first place."

When asked if we could expect more animated shows - and possibly a feature - to be announced soon, Winderbaum played it a little closer to the vest.

7 Disney+ shows that definitely won't be back in 2025
Image
As we look ahead to the new year, Disney+ is gearing up to release exciting new content for its global audience. We're talking about shows such as Goosebumps: The Vanishing, Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, Ironheart, Daredevil: Born Again and Andor season 2. However, for various reasons, there are some Disney+ shows that won't be returning with additional installments in the new year.

It could be because they were billed as miniseries, meaning that they were designed to conclude after only one season, which wrapped up this year. Another reason for them not returning could be that they won't be finished with the filmmaking process in time to make a 2025 release. There are also some Disney+ shows that won't be back next year because they ended or were canceled this year. Whatever the reason for them not returning, we're definitely going to miss them!

Below, we shared a list of...

Marvel confirms hit show won't be coming back for season 2 in 2025
Image
After a relatively conservative round of announcements at San Diego Comic-Con, D23, and New York Comic Con regarding upcoming Marvel Studios releases, no one anticipated that the biggest wave of announcements would come in the form of a Disney+ promo dropped just before midnight on the streaming platform.

In the 60-second spot, Marvel confirmed the release dates and windows for over half a dozen live-action and animated Marvel Studios titles set to come within the final two months of 2024 and across 2025.

The list for 2025 included highly anticipated live-action shows such as Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, and Wonder Man, as well as a handful of animated originals that have been long in the works.

There were a lot of amazing shows confirmed to be coming to Disney+ in 2025, but there was one notable hit series missing from the promo — an omission that seems to hint that the show won’t be...

X-Men '97 Creator Addresses Black Panther Controversy Despite NDA Claim - "Humanity Before Continuity"
Image
4 months after confirming an NDA prevented him speaking up, X-Men '97 creator Beau De Mayo has finally addressed why the critically acclaimed Marvel show used King T'Chaka instead of T'Challa. The decision was met with confusion and some criticism from Marvel fans who believed Chadwick Boseman's legacy should have been honored more directly.

De Mayo has now taken to X.com to defend the decision to use T'Chaka rather than his son, after an X-Men '97 fan asked him for the thinking behind it: he responded "I don't know why Marvel had certain directors trying to spin and lie about this but we produced X-Men 97 Season 1 in early 2021. The loss of Boseman weighed heavily on the studio, as well as on me as a black man. Felt too soon to do T'Challa. Put humanity before continuity."

The McU's stunning X-Men line-up "revealed"; fans divided
Image
The Mutants are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That's right, the X-Men's arrivals are on the horizon, as the Marvel Studios franchise has been slowly laying the groundwork for their entrance into the film series throughout the Multiverse Saga, with nods and references to iconic X-Men characters, themes, and storylines along the way.

Beau DeMayo Will Reveal The "Whole Truth" Of His X-men '97 Firing... If You Subscribe To His OnlyFans Page

Back in March, the surprising news broke that Marvel Studios/Disney had fired X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo shortly before the animated revival show's world premiere.

Since then, the internet has been rife with rumors and speculation about what might have led to DeMayo's dismissal, and last month, Marvel finally released a statement on the matter.

"Mr. DeMayo was terminated in March 2024 following an internal investigation. Given the egregious nature of the findings, we severed ties with him immediately and he has no further affiliation with Marvel."

The Fog (2005) Revisited – Horror Movie Review
Rupert Wainwright
A new episode of the Revisited video series has arrived online this morning… and this time around, we’re looking back at a movie that has a very bad reputation: director Rupert Wainwright’s 2005 remake of the John Carpenter cult classic The Fog (you can watch the remake Here). This video sets out to explain “Why The Fog fails,” and you can hear all about it in the embed above.

Directed by Wainwright from a screenplay written by Cooper Layne, The Fog remake feels like an attempt to put a J-horror-style twist on the ideas from Carpenter’s film. It has the following synopsis: The prosperous town of Antonio Bay, Oregon is born in blood, as the town’s founders get their money by murdering a colony of lepers. But the truth of what they did is concealed from subsequent generations. More than 100 years later, Elizabeth Williams, whose family lives in Antonio Bay,...

X-Men '97 Team Made 8 Versions of the Opening Theme to Get It Right

X-Men '97 inspired nostalgia for the original series with an updated version of the opening sequence. Its musical composers teased that the early versions experimented with a spectrum of musical elements.

The Newton Brothers' Andy Grush and Taylor Stewart said they experimented with a variety of musical styles and instruments to compose the theme for X-Men '97's opening credits. "We explored all of it," Grush told Variety. "We were like, 'Let's use real synthesizers playing it, let's use digital synthesizers. Let's have a guitar player just rip the theme as well.' And I think it sparked a nice conversation which ended in using mostly keyboard guitar with the real guitar peeking through at specific times, which makes it super effective." Both confirmed there were eight early versions of the theme that informed the final cut.
