    • Med Hondo was born on May 4, 1935 in Aïn-Béni-Mathar, Morocco. He was an actor and director, known for Sarraounia (1986), Soleil Ô (1970) and Les Bicots-Nègres vos voisins (1974). He died on March 2, 2019 in Paris, France.

  • Created the company Shango and then Griotshango in 1966 with Robert Liensol from Guadeloupe.
  • Mauritanian-born actor, voice actor, writer and director, in France from 1959. Studied acting under Françoise Rosay.
