    • Frank Hoffmann was born on July 16, 1938 in Radebeul, Saxony, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for Schacko Klak (1989), Die Reise das Land (1987) and Celestina (1967). He was married to Else Ludwig. He died on June 4, 2022 in Großmürbisch, Burgenland, Austria.

  • Since January 2013 he has worked as a film expert on the private television station Servus TV in the program Lichtspiele - Das Filmmagazin.
  • He was awarded the Cross of Honor for Science and Art of the Republic of Austria by Federal President Rudolf Kirchschläger in 1986 and the Grand Decoration of Honor of the State of Burgenland by Governor Karl Stix in 1999 for the staging of Josef Reichl's "Landflucht" at Güssing Castle.
  • In November 2008, at the suggestion of Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer, Frank Hoffmann was awarded the professional title "Professor" by Federal Minister Claudia Schmied in the Ministry for Education, Art and Culture.
  • Frank Hoffmann was also one of the most sought-after voices in the German-speaking world. In addition to numerous commercials, he was the station voice of various radio stations.
  • After various engagements in Germany and Austria, he became a member of the ensemble at the Burgtheater in Vienna in 1967.
