The Cinema Audio Society fancied the flight of The Aviator enough to give the movie's production sound crew its top prize for outstanding achievement Saturday night. Cinema audiophiles tuned into re-recording mixer Tom Fleischman and production mixer Petur Hliddal's Aviator soundtrack at the 41st Annual Cinema Audio Society Awards held at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Hliddal accepted the award, noting director Martin Scorsese's cinematic fluency. "I want to thank a sound man by the name of Martin Scorsese," Hliddal said.
