Yukio Ninagawa

Yukio Ninagawa was born on 15 October 1935 in Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan. He was an actor and director, known for Ao no hono-o (2003), Hebi ni piasu (2008) and Masho no natsu - 'Yotsuya kaidan' yori (1981). He was married to Tomoko Mayama. He died on 12 May 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.

Yukio Ninagawa was the director.

He initially wanted to become an artist but failed the entrance exam for the Tokyo University of the Arts. When he was 20, he joined a theater company as a trainee actor. He eventually became interested in directing.
