John Hillner starred as Georges in the Tony Award winning revival of La Cages Aux Folles. He created the critically acclaimed role of Lank Hawkins in the original Tony Award winning Best Musical Crazy For you.

Other featured Broadway roles include They're Playing Our Song with Tony Roberts and Lucy Arnaz, Woman of The Year with Lauren Bacall, Little Me with Victor Garber and Jimmy Coco, Zorba with Anthony Quinn, The Grduate with Kathleen Turner, Mamma Mia, Footloose, and the Roundabout Company's 25th Anniversary of Stephen Sondheim's Company. Among his many off Broadway portrayals, John is especially proud of starring in the Pulitzer Prize winning production of Dinner With Friends directed by Daniel Sullivan.

Television Audiences will be familiar with his guest starring roles in Elementary, The Good Wife, Person of Interest, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Body of Proof, Gossip Girl, Damages, Cold Case, Numbers and Seinfeld.

His feature film debut was in Say Anything directed by Cameron Crowe followed by Money For Nothing directed by Mike Ockrent, The Good Shepherd directed by Robert De Niro, The Ministers directed by Frank Reyes and most recently Vice directed by Adam McKay portraying George H. W. Bush opposite Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Sam Rockwell. John also owns and operates a custom carpentry design firm in New York City. What keeps him joyful and in spirit is his family which includes his wife Wendy Waring and children Amy, Nicholas and Jackson.
