Fifth husband of Rita Hayworth.
Educated at the University of Washington and started as a page boy at NBC, before being signed as a contract writer at MGM. Friend of actor Burt Lancaster and with Lancaster and former agent Harold Hecht formed Hecht-Hill-Lancaster productions.
Ex-stepfather of Yasmin Khan and Rebecca Welles.
