Biography

    • Paul Heyman was born on September 11, 1965 in Scarsdale, New York, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for WrestleMania X-Seven (2001), Rollerball (2002) and ECW Ultra Clash '93 (1993).

Trademarks

  • Loud obnoxious New York yuppie character
  • Large mobile cellphone

Trivia

  • Managed "The Next Big Thing", Brock Lesnar, The 7 foot tall "Big Show," and Olympic Gold Medal Winner Kurt Angle to the WWE Championship. Heyman is the only agent/manager in wrestling history to "represent" (on-camera, in storyline form) 3 consecutive WWE Champions, a feat that will probably never be matched.
  • His critically praised reign as General Manager of Smackdown revitalized the UPN show's sinking ratings. His role as Head Writer, however, lead Smackdown to its highest ratings in years on the UPN Network. Since he left the position, Smackdown has never recaptured those numbers.
  • List of Wrestlers managed: Steve Austin, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, The Dudley Boyz, Cesaro, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Kurt Angle, The Big Show, Mark Callous (The Undertaker), Nathan Jones, Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose, Bobby Eaton, Arn Anderson, Larry Zbyszko, Rick Rude, Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin, Auston Idol, Tommy Rich, A-Train, Heidenreich, Hardcore Holly, Eddie Gilbert, Jimmy Snuka, Dark Patriot, Don Muraco, 911, and Tazz.
  • Former manager of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Is also credited by both Austin and Mick Foley in their autobiographies as being the person whose Directing abilities allowed them to find the greatness in their interviews.
  • Heyman received wide praise for his role as the English Speaking Announcer in the critically-panned John McTiernan remake of Rollerball (2002). Variety called Heyman "the saving grace of the film."

Did not audition for the role of Gino in Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding (2004). He was given the part after the original actor had to back out due to a family emergency.

Quotes

  • We're not about sports entertainment, we're about wrestling!
  • (Immediately after starting to do color commentary on WWF Raw is War again) "Well, has the commentary on this show sucked without me or what?"
  • At the 2006 ECW One Night Stand pay per view, on the resurrection of ECW: The Tribe of Extreme has risen again!
  • Creatively speaking, I think the "anti-hardcore" promos that Mick Foley did in 1995 were the most creative and best performed interviews in the history of [professional wrestling], bar none.
  • I am the One behind the One in 21-1
