7 Supernatural Demons, Ranked from Worst to Best
Image
One of the best things about Supernatural is that the show has not restricted itself when it comes to supernatural lore. Featuring all kinds of monsters, mysteries, entities, and beings that we didn’t even know existed before watching the show, the Eric Kripke-created series stands out for its vast world-building.

However, while Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki’s Dean and Sam Winchester have faced all kinds of threats, one threat has remained constant: demons. They are more than just villains in the Supernatural mythos, for they also represent the corrupting temptations behind every hollow ambition, the shadows behind every hunter’s prayer, and the darkness that lurks even in the most human heart.

Over fifteen seasons, Supernatural has displayed demons in many forms, from soulless soldiers to charismatic allies like Mark Sheppard‘s Crowley, who ended up becoming fan favorites. While some appear only once before getting exorcised,...

'Interview With the Vampire' Stars Explain How Season 3 Will Handle Lestat & Louis’ Complicated Relationship
Image
AMC will be bringing the third season of Interview With the Vampire to screens in 2026, and there is a lot that audiences can look forward to. Sam Reid’s Lestat and Jacob Anderson's Louis have endured a tumultuous, traumatizing relationship in the past two seasons. The Season 2 finale saw the pair call a truce with a tentative reconciliation in New Orleans. The pair have been changed over the course of the series' run, manipulated by others, and Season 3 will reveal what awaits them as companions.

With Armand (Assad Zaman) out of the way somewhat, Louis is set to spend time alone even as Lestat tries his hands out at being a rockstar, as teased in a recently released trailer. Speaking in an interview with ScreenRant, Reid and Anderson weighed in on Louis and Lestat's future relationship. Both actors confirmed that the love-hate dynamic in their characters' relationship remains even...

Interview with the Vampire changes title to The Vampire Lestat for third season; featurette goes behind the scenes
Anne Rice
Over a year has gone by since AMC announced that they had ordered a third season of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire – and that with season 3, the show would be moving on to the events of the second novel in Rice’s Vampire Chronicles series, The Vampire Lestat. The network still hasn’t announced a specific release date for the new season (we only know it’s coming in 2026), but Deadline reports that they have officially confirmed that the title of the show has changed to The Vampire Lestat! AMC also unveiled a behind-the-scenes featurette, which can be seen in the embed above.

In this story, Lestat becomes the frontman in a rock band, something that carries over into the events of the third book, The Queen of the Damned. That’s why those books were mashed together for the 2002 film Queen of the Damned, where Lestat’s...

‘Interview With the Vampire’ Star Reveals the Out of This World Musician Who Influenced Lestat’s Rockstar Persona
Image
AMC is ready to rock and roll in 2026. The third season of their hit series Interview With the Vampire is arriving next year, and with it comes a whole new side of Sam Reid’s Lestat. Traumatized by his tumultuous relationship with Louis (Jacob Anderson), Season 3 sees Lestat turn to the public eye for affection, turning himself into a rockstar of immense proportions — though not wholly original ideas.

At AMC’s Immortal Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Reid broke down the influences he looked to for Lestat’s rockstar persona. The big name he dropped was David Bowie — one people have been speculating about since it was revealed that Season 3 would focus on The Vampire Lestat — but he also named Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors, as well as Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain. All the stars Reid listed are known for their flamboyance and loud on-stage personalities, which...

Interview With the Vampire Gets New Title for Season 3
Image
Big updates were revealed during the Anne Rice's Immortal Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Fans were treated to a sneak peek at the upcoming third season of Interview With the Vampire, which has had its title changed.

As announced at Sdcc, Season 3 has been officially titled as Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat. This hints at the shift in the series, which saw its first two seasons take inspiration from author Anne Rice's first novel. That story focused primarily on the relationship between Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid); Louis recounted the story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian).

The second novel of Rice's book series is called The Vampire Lestat, which reaffirms how this story will serve as the basis for the new season. As the title would suggest, the plot will see Lestat becoming a rock star to take back control of his story.

‘Interview With the Vampire’ Takes on New Title for Season 3: ‘The Vampire Lestat’
Image
AMC is making a big change to Interview With the Vampire for the show’s third season. The core cast remains, as does showrunner Rolin Jones, but the series is being retitled as The Vampire Lestat.

The change, announced Saturday at Comic-Con, marks a shift in the series based on Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles novels. Seasons one and two of Interview With the Vampire, inspired by Rice’s first novel, focused on the relationship between Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) and the vampire who turned him, Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), with Louis recounting his story to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian).

Season three will shift to Lestat’s point of view, as Reid’s character becomes a rock star and tries to reclaim his story from the way Louis told it, inspired by Rice’s second novel in the series (also called The Vampire Lestat).

Along with Reid,...

“Cowboys and Trains Kind of Go Together”: ‘Dark Winds’ Showrunner Explains That Season 3 Finale Shootout
Image
Dark Winds rode the rails in its third-season finale, as Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) and Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon) chased down a murderer making his way out of town on a train. In a new Hollywood Reporter interview with Dark Winds showrunner John Wirth and director Chris Eyre, they revealed the reasoning behind the Wild West-style showdown. Not only did it tie in with the show's Western themes, but one of the show's executive producers happened to own a locomotive.

The series finale is titled "Béésh Łį́į́ (Iron Horse)," a reference to the nickname for the steam engines that "tamed" the West. Says Wirth, who previously worked on AMC's Western series Hell on Wheels, "You know, cowboys and trains kind of go together, and in a neo-Western like this one, it felt like there would be a train." And where did they get the train? George R. R. Martin,...

‘Dark Winds’ Season 3 Finale: Zahn McClarnon & Writer/Director Erica Tremblay On That Tape, Season 4 & Lifting The Fear Away
Image
Spoiler Alert: This article contains details of tonight’s Dark Winds Season 3 finale ‘Béésh Łį́į́ (Iron Horse)’

“I hope one day I can forgive him. But until that day, I walk alone.”

The Season 3 ending of AMC’s Dark Winds tonight saw some emotionally and politically hards winds blow over Navajo County.

Devastating and magnificent, the words that Lt. Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) heard on a recording of his estranged wife in the closing minutes of the ‘Béésh Łį́į́ (Iron Horse)’ episode both sums up this year on the 1970s-set AMC thriller and what’s to come in the February announced Season 4.

“Of course, the stoic version that Zahn acted just sits so beautifully in the pocket of that emotion as he sits there and listens to that speech,” says Dark Winds writer/director Erica Tremblay of the wordless and wonderful performance by Reservation Dogs and Westworld alum...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Dark Winds Season 3, Episode 8, “Béésh Lii (Iron Horse).”] Dark Winds delivered its biggest finale yet with Season 3’s epic train sequence captured by executive producer and director Chris Eyre for the screen. As viewers who tuned in will recall, Joe Leaphorn’s (Zahn McClarnon) investigation into the death of Ernesto Cata (Alonso Rappa) and the attack on George Bowlegs (Bodhi Okuma Linton) led him to archaeologist Dr. Reynolds (Christopher Heyerdahl). The scientist had been seeding his dig site, and when Ernesto caught on, the man went after him, leaving George’s fate in the balance as Reynolds sought to silence him, too. Reynolds’ search for the other boy led him to a train, where he was unaware that a trap by Leaphorn, Chee (Kiowa Gordon), and their fellow Navajo police was being set. ‘Dark Winds’ Renewed For Season 4 At AMC; Zahn McClarnon To Make Directorial Debut
Image
There will be more Dark Winds on AMC.

The network has renewed the thriller for a fourth season. The news comes ahead of the premiere of its third season on March 9.

Season 4 of the series, which stars Zahn McClarnon, will begin filming in Santa Fe, Nm, in March and will air in 2026.

Much like Season 3, it will consist of eight episodes. Seasons 1 and 2 had six episodes each.

The news is not a huge surprise given the boost that Dark Winds seems to have gotten from its airing on Netflix. The first two seasons of the show are currently on the streamer and after they dropped in August, they remained in Netflix’s top 10 for over three weeks. Dark Winds also aired on Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max as part of a two-month pop-up in 2023.

Season four will also feature the directorial debut of star and exec producer McClarnon.

Robert Eggers' New Vampire Movie Has A Connection To A Classic Nickelodeon Kids Show, And It's Not Spongebob
Image
Robert Eggers’ new Gothic horror movie Nosferatu is a masterclass in dread and fear, but it has an unusual connection to a classic kids’ show from Nickelodeon. The American film-maker’s fourth feature film is a remake of the iconic silent German film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, which is itself a retelling of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It has generated acclaim from both critics and audiences alike along with a box office return well above initial projections, and there has even been some chatter about major award nominations for the horror movie.

The director called out the fact that younger moviegoers might have learned about the original Nosferatu from one quick scene in Spongebob Squarepants, the long-running animated show which featured an appearance from Max Schreck’s Count Orlok as in a...

10 Horror TV Shows Where The First Season Isn't The Best
Image
There have been many great horror television series that have improved past their initial season, going on to scare viewers for what can oftentimes be several years. Many of these series rival some of the best horror movies of all time, while others still fall short despite the growth they have achieved after their first season. Some of them even count among the best horror shows of 2024.

The ability to either take criticism and turn it into something better or build upon a show to make it even better is an important skill to have. At a time when so many shows are canceled after just one or two seasons, it's important to remember how a lot of great shows took a while to find their identity. The horror genre has plenty of examples of it, from hits like Supernatural to underrated gems.
