Best known for playing Bobbie Spencer on General Hospital, Jackie Zeman also had a pivotal role on the online soap The Bay. One episode of the digital series’ upcoming Season 9 will be a tribute to the late actress.

Jackie Zeman joined General Hospital in 1977 in the role of Bobbie Spencer, sister to the show’s anti-hero, Luke Spencer (Tony Geary.) She featured in some of the show’s most memorable storylines, including the award-winning storyline of Bobbie’s daughter B.J.’s death and subsequent heart donation to Maxie.
Sadly, Jackie Zeman passed away in 2023 after a brief battle with cancer. General Hospital chose not to recast the role of Bobbie and instead had the character pass away off-screen. This gave the soap a chance to honor the long-time actress.
