Born in Perth, Australia, Anthony P. (Tony) Hewett began producing film
and television after a distinguished career in journalism in Australia,
Europe and the UK. Formerly a line producer for
writer/director/producer Steve Oedekerk during a four-year stint at O
Entertainment, Hewett has also produced/line produced award-winning
feature films, including American Cowslip, Intoxicating and Sweet
Thing; visual effects sequences for National Geographic 3-D titles
(Roar); and controversial documentaries (See You in the Future and The
Reality of Truth). Career highlights include working with the late
screen legend Peter Falk during his final film (American Cowslip). He
is a frequent collaborator with writer/director/cinematographer Mark
David. He and Hewett are the founders and managing executives of
Buffalo Speedway Film Co. Hewett's Los Angeles production shingle
Random Collision Entertainment is also developing scripted film and
television, and non-scripted content in partnership with RMG
Entertainment. Hewett is Vice President (Production & Development) of RMG Entertainment, creators of an upcoming Netflix non-scripted series based around the daring exploits of freelance news cameramen working the Los Angeles beat after dark. RMG is represented by APA Los Angeles (Marc Kamler).
