Exclusive: The BBC is lining up a new game show from the team behind The Weakest Link and Tipping Point where, unlike the lottery, contestants hope their balls stay in the bag.
The British public broadcaster has commissioned Danger Balls from Mighty Productions, the company behind Rick Edwards-fronted !mpossible (above).
The game show, where only the last ball left in play at the end wins the big cash prize, features three teams of two who’ve each been allocated five numbered balls. As the balls are picked from the bag at random the teams must answer questions to eliminate an opponent’s ball or save their own. The show also has compelling moments of strategy. Will the players cash in their balls when given the chance or hold out and hope for the big money, even though it could mean leaving with nothing?

James May might not be returning to Top Gear just yet, but he's been confirmed to present a new live BBC Two motoring show.
Kate Humble and Ant Anstead will co-host Building Cars Live, which explores the science behind car production from BMW's Mini plant in Oxford.
The two 90-minute episodes of Building Cars Live will air this autumn, with May enthusing: "I can't wait to build a car. Live."
Humble added: "To be broadcasting live from the production line of one of the world's most recognisable cars will be hugely exciting, and give us a brilliant insight into what goes into creating the vehicles we all take so much for granted."
May and Richard Hammond were recently seen presenting Top Gear without Jeremy Clarkson in pictures released from the trio's final episode together.
New host Chris Evans recently hinted that close friend May might yet join him on the revamped series.

Kate Humble and are Jason Byrne are to co-host a new game show. The 45-year-old wildlife presenter and the Irish comedian will be the hosts of nature-themed entertainment programme, 'Wild Things' on Sky1. The channel's director, Adam MacDonald, said of the show: '''Wild Things' is like nothing we've seen before - a surreal and side splittingly funny concoction of giant woodland creatures, bickering couples and pots of gold. It's a big, daft slice of genius.'' The game show - which is set to air on the channel next year - is described as a cross between classics 'It's a Knockout', 'Knightmare' and 'The...

TV presenter Kate Humble and comedian Jason Byrne have been confirmed as presenters for Sky1's new wildlife-themed entertainment programme Wild Things.
The gameshow, which was commissioned in August, features couples or pairs of relations undertaking challenges on a huge woodland obstacle course in order to win a fortune of gold coins buried within the Wild Wood.
However, there is a twist in that one member of the team must become the Wild Thing, meaning they must wear a woodland protection suit which is designed to look like an animal native to the area, such as an owl, a duck or a mole.
This means that they cannot see anything and will need their partner to guide them to victory.
Humble said of her role: "Wild Things is one of the most gloriously silly, side-splittingly funny programmes I have ever had the pleasure of being involved with. Wildlife has never behaved so badly.

Kate Humble thinks reality TV stars are ''sad''. The wildlife television presenter has been asked to appear on numerous reality shows, including 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' several times, but has, and always will, say no because she hates the genre. Kate exclusively told Bang Showbiz: ''I'm not a celebrity and I don't want to get out of here. I'm not interested in being on television so that people can walk down the street and go, 'Oh, that's the girl from 'I'm A Celebrity...'. I find it very sad that there are people that feel they are...

Eddie Izzard is to star in an upcoming BBC Two science drama.
The comic actor will portray radar developer Robert Watson Watt in the one-off film Castles in the Sky.
The film will centre around the Scotsman's flight to invent the detection system with a group of British scientists.
Breaking Bad's Laura Fraser will play Izzard's wife Margaret, while other cast members will include Alex Jennings (The Queen), Tim McInnerny (Blackadder) as Winston Churchill, David Hayman (Trial And Retribution) and Julian Rhind-Tutt (Green Wing).
Izzard said of the project: "I feel very privileged to be playing the role of Robert Watson-Watt. Hopefully our production will allow him, along with Arnold 'Skip' Wilkins and their team, to finally take their places in the pantheon of British greats of World War II, as the inventors of radar."
Elsewhere, BBC Two has also commissioned a new five-part series titled Human Universe, presented by Professor Brian Cox.
