Exclusive: Brian Volk-Weiss’ Nacelle Company on Wednesday announced Billy Corgan’s Adventures in Carnyland, an eight-episode unscripted series that’s set to premiere on The CW app and cwtv.com on May 14th.
Directed by Volk-Weis and Ian Roumain, the series pulls back the curtain on how the legendary frontman of alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins takes on the world. When he isn’t churning out albums and touring the world with his band, Corgan works as a wrestling promoter through his storied National Wrestling Alliance, which he intends to restore to its former glory. As if being a rock star navigating the demanding politics of running both a band (Pumpkinworld) and a group of eccentric wrestlers (Carnyland) isn’t tricky enough, he’s also a father of two — and he’s planning a wedding to his longtime partner, Chloe Mendel. Can he possibly keep all these balls in the air?...

Do you smell what Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions is cooking? If it smells like oil, solder, and suction cups, it’s because the company, run by Hiram Garcia, is co-producing Nacelle’s RoboForce animated series, inspired by the 1990s toy line. Previously, Nacelle and Seven Bucks joined forces for Behind the Attraction, a docu-series about the development and history of iconic attractions from Disney’s theme parks. I highly recommend checking it out. It’s super informative, and the episode about The Haunted Mansion is fantastic.
“We’re excited for Seven Bucks and Nacelle to partner together once again, especially to bring the iconic story of RoboForce to life,” Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson said. “We love that it’s a story about redemption, second chances, and rising to the challenge as told through the eyes of funny, messed up, renegade robots who finally get their chance to shine.

There’s a change in Tuesday primetime programming on The CW. The network has pulled travelogue series Down To Earth with Zac Efron and Fantastic Friends after just two episodes. Both series premiered on July 18. Remaining episodes will be available on the CW app and cwtv.com.
The CW will air reruns of Penn & Teller: Fool Us (8-9 pm) and Whose Line Is It Anyway? (9-10 pm) in their place.
Down To Earth and Fantastic Friends are the latest acquired series to be pulled from the CW schedule, following the Australian surfing drama Barons, which was pulled after four episodes in June.
Down To Earth with Zac Efron, acquired from Netflix, experienced a 24% drop in viewers from the first episode to episode 2, and Fantastic Friends had low viewership from the start, dropping from 161K viewers in episode 1 to 158K in episode 2. Seasons 1 and 2 of Down To Earth are still streaming on Netflix.

Exclusive: Jim Gaffigan is returning to Amazon for his second stand-up special with the streaming channel. Jim Gaffigan: The Pale Tourist will premiere Friday, July 24 on Amazon Prime Video.

He would then transform those experiences into a stand-up set of all-new material and perform it for locals and expatriates, before heading on to another destination and doing it all over again.
Jim Gaffigan: Quality Time was Gaffigan’s first comedy special for Amazon and marked the streamer’s foray into the Netflix-dominated stand-up comedy turf in 2019.

Disney+ has given the order for Behind the Attraction for 10 episodes, each hourlong, as Variety reports. Movie megastar Dwayne Johnson headlines the creative coalition for the Disney+ series as an executive producer through his Seven Bucks Production shingle, joined by partners Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Brian Gewirtz and Kevin Hill. Interestingly, The Rock and company will be joined by Brian Volk-Weiss, the mastermind of Netflix’s smash docuseries, The Toys That Made Us,...
