As a multi-lingual American actor, Tera Hendrickson often uses foreign languages and dialects in her roles. She has portrayed a French witch twice, in The Addams Family 2 (2021) and the hit TV series Charmed (1998), an Italian priest in Netflix' Love & Gelato (2021), a Spanish singer in Dora & The Lost City of Gold (2019) soundtrack, and roles in Portuguese for Days of Our Lives (1965) and Disney's wildly popular Mickey Mouse short 'O Futebol Classico' (2014).
A deep passion for music was sparked in childhood during which time she began her studies of piano, later adding bass, ukulele, accordion and voice training. Her acting and musical pursuits eventually dovetailed into a number of unique opportunities. Recruited by Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer, she performed with his orchestra as the Edith Piaf vocalist for the Hollywood premiere of the blockbuster film Inception (2010). She also earned her first film composition credit for Say It in Russian (2007) starring Faye Dunaway, writing and performing the film's title track 'Embrasse Moi'. As frontperson for the international jazz ensemble Les Zazous, she has performed in venues across the country including the Hollywood Bowl's Museum Stage, The Library of Congress, and The French Embassy in Washington DC.
