According to Tony Hawks Twitter, the game will release September 29th on Xbox One and PS4. Last gen (PS3 and 360) will have to wait a little long with an unannounced date.

The game is being made by Robomodo which made the previous installments including Tony Hawk Ride. Luckily we don't need any gimmicky periphals for this one as it seems to return to the roots of the franchise.

London-based studio Roll7 is beginning to establish a fruitful working relationship with indie publisher Devolver Digital. Having served up a concoction of Tony Hawks-inspired skateboarding fun with the delightful OlliOlli – not to mention its excellent sequel, Welcome to Olliwood – the developer is honing in on its upcoming pixel art title, Not a Hero.

Mixing elements of OlliOlli’s side-scrolling with the instant replay-ability found in Hotline Miami, Roll7’s shooter is already beginning to garner praise for its satirical take on London. Due to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC later this year, the studio is ensuring the momentum continues by releasing a demo of Not a Hero, which is available today through Steam.

A psychogeographical jaunt in a swan pedalo entertains Peter Bradshaw

Psychogeography-lite is one way of describing this film by Andrew Kötting, the indulgent record of a gloriously daft journey the film-maker took in the company of author Iain Sinclair. They travel from Hastings beach to Hackney, round the coast and then north and east, via various circuitous waterways — in a pedalo shaped like a swan. They were perhaps inspired by the seagoing pedalo scene in Sylvain Chomet's Belleville Rendez-Vous (2003). Kötting never changes his suit and often climbs into the muddy water wearing it. Why? And where do they sleep when night falls? In a tent? Or do they seek out a nice little Premier Inn? Who knows?

The high definition remix of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 & 2 is nearly upon us, and some rather interesting news was announced to us today via Facebook. Developer Robomodo announced today that there will be post launch Dlc for the game in the form of levels from the third instalment in the series, they also asked fans for suggestions on which levels should make the cut. So if you want to see your favourite level make it into the Dlc pack then head over to the games official Facebook page and let your voice be heard.

Sega of America has released a teaser trailer titled ‘Guess who’s back?’ on their youtube channel. The trailer which doesn’t name the game they are talking about states that another Dreamcast game is being re-released on Xbla and Psn. The trailer ends by asking ‘Guess who’s back?’ and showing a familiar logo. Now for those of you old enough to have owned a Dreamcast during its brief lifetime (has it really been more than a decade?) the game in question should be obvious.

Gaming sequels often manage to take the experience of the first game and expand it with new features and improved graphics, making each new entry in the series a significant step forward. England's northernmost town exploits its tourist-friendly heritage for this imaginative festival, with a trail of film-based artworks commissioned for local landmarks as well as regular cinema screenings. The theme is Stagings, which means all manner of film-related art based around ideas of performance. So you'll find dance in the 14th-century Coxon's Tower and animation in the town hall prison cells, while film artist Guy Sherwin presents his ingenious projected pieces in the Holy Trinity Church. The screenings are also performance-themed, ranging from The Keystone Cut Ups, a live event colliding music, silent comedy and early avant garde cinema, to Malaysian drama Karaoke (you can guess what it's about), a Finnish rugby mockumentary and the Marx brothers' A Night At The Opera.

A new feature film entitled 'Round Ireland with a Fridge', from UK based Fridge d'Or Films, has completed production. Directed by Ed Bye (After You've Gone), the film is written by Tony Hawks (Red Dwarf) - who also stars alongside Irish talent Valerie O'Connor (The Daisy Chain) and comedian Ed Byrne (The Cassidys). 'Round Ireland with a Fridge' tells the tale of a disillusioned TV personality who accepts a drunken bet that he cannot hitch-hike around the entire circumference of Ireland, accompanied by his fridge. He embarks on a bizarre, funny and at times uncomfortable journey, which opens his eyes to a more relaxed way of life, beyond the confines of his cosy London media world. Along the way, he falls in love with a feisty radio reporter, encounters a philosophical toiletries salesman and takes his fridge surfing.

Given the success of Tony Hawk's skateboarding video game franchise, a plug-in peripheral that brings players closer to the real thing was inevitable. And now details have emerged that Hawk is releasing an electronic skateboard, packed with sensors--all it lacks is wheels.

Hawk's new peripheral is a skateboard-shaped controller that carries advanced motion sensors to track your movements as you wiggle it around your living room floor. As well as accelerometers that monitor your attempts to ollie, rail ride or jump. The board's even been designed with infra-red sensors along the side that detect if you're going for a special-effect stunt like a board grab.
