Dolly Parton Starred In A Sitcom That's Impossible To Watch
Image
Dolly Parton, a titan of the music industry, an amusement park tycoon, a philanthropist, philosopher, actress, and probably some kind of benevolent deity, never quite conquered the medium of scripted television. Of course, Dolly appeared on TV all the time, going back as far as 1956's "Cas Walker Farm and Home Hour," but she most typically appeared as a singer or musical performer. Throughout her career, she sang on shows like "Music City, U.S.A.," "Hee Haw," and "The Mike Douglas Show." In 1976, she even hosted her own variety show, "Dolly!," which, sadly, only lasted 26 episodes. That's not to be confused with "Dolly," the variety show she launched in 1987. That, sadly, only lasted 22 episodes. Dolly was on "Hollywood Squares," "Captain Kangaroo," and even the 1983 animated version of "Alvin and the Chipmunks." She played herself on "Designing Women" in the 1990s. Dolly has always been a stalwart, dedicated performer, and...

First Full Trailer for Adisa's Sex Trafficking Thriller 'Skin in the Game'
"She's going to be our big money maker, you mark my words." Kandoo Films has debuted a official trailer for an indie drama titled Skin in the Game, the feature directorial debut of an Oakland native filmmaker / musician known as Adisa. Based on a true story, the thriller is about a fifteen year old girl abducted off the streets who finds herself stuck in a horrific sex trafficking ring. With no initial assistance from the police, Dani's mother and an ex-prostitute take to the streets in an effort to save her before it's too late. Starring Erica Ash, Elisabeth Harnois, Angélica Celaya, Sammi Hanratty, Gideon Adlon, Gail Bean, Jay Hieron, and Catfish Jean. This is an important story to tell, the film just doesn't look unique in any way. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Adisa's Skin in the Game, direct from Kandoo's YouTube: Abducted off the sidewalk of suburban America,...

CSI Brings On ER’s Sherry Stringfield As Substitute Investigator
There’s nothing quite like digging into a character with a rich backstory that can be mined for all its worth. That’s the approach CSI is taking with the character Sherry Stringfield will be portraying this fall. With George Eads taking a leave of absence over what is being called a “creative differences” with a pregnant writer on the series, there’s going to be a gap in the CSI team, which is where Stringfield comes in and why her character is going to be so well developed for only being a guest. Maybe she’ll do such a great job CSI will consider letting Eads go and just keeping Stringfield. God only knows she’s no stranger to TV procedurals.

The former ER star will be guest starring as Dawn, a likable blue-collar swing shift CSI who will, according to TVLine, join up with Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) to investigate a serial rapist case.

The long-time ER star will appear on an upcoming episode of CSI, according to TV Line, coming on board the drama as a "blue-collar swing shift CSI" named Dawn who joins Elisabeth Harnois' Morgan on a serial rape case.

Look for the character to also have a son at home with an addiction problem.

Stringfield has mostly avoided the small screen since scrubbing out of ER in 2009, appearing later that same year on an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Her CSI installment will air some time this fall.

CSI: Who Will Die in the Hunt for Morgan and Ellie?
On the surface, the Season 14 premiere of CSI may feel a bit familiar.

After all, the show's premiere one year ago found the team searching for a team member's abducted loved one. And while this year, D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) & Co. are trying to find kidnapped team member Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) and Ellie (Teal Redmann) the daughter of Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), that's pretty much where the similarities end.

Fall Preview: Get scoop on your favorite returning shows

"Things won't turn out quite so rosy this time," executive producer Don McGill tells TVGuide.com. "A person close to the CSI family will die...

Elisabeth Harnois at an event for Pretty Persuasion (2005)
'CSI' premiere sneak peek: Did Morgan survive? -- Exclusive
Elisabeth Harnois at an event for Pretty Persuasion (2005)
Okay, this is a pretty grim way to return for a 14th season!

On tomorrow’s premiere episode of CSI on CBS, D.B., Julie and the rest of the Las Vegas team attend a funeral while some pretty macabre cut-aways flash on the screen. Yuck.

Is this a final farewell to Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois), who may or may not have survived last season’s undercover op gone wrong? And no, they aren’t killing off Nick Stokes just because his alter-ego is M.I.A. He’s in the clip, sillies!

See for yourself:...

UK Residents Now Able to Taste Lulu Jarmen's Bad Meat on DVD
Lulu Jarmen's ultra gory contagion horror Bad Meat, which had its world premiere at the FrightFest Halloween Allnighter back in 2011, is finally available on DVD in the UK from Kaleidoscope Entertainment, and we have a look at the box art and more here.

Starring Dave Franco (21 Jump Street), Elisabeth Harnois (Mars Needs Moms), Jessica Parker-Kennedy ("The Secret Circle"), and Mark Pellegrino ("Supernatural," "Lost"), Bad Meat follows a group of teenage delinquents who contract a deadly virus after being ordered to a remote camp for rehabilitation.

Bad Meat is also available on DVD and VOD in the Us and Canada, where it was recently released by Jinga Films and Mvd.

Compared to Eli Roth's Cabin Fever and Michal J. Bassett's Wilderness, Bad Meat trades in all manner of bodily fluids, puking perverts, a graphic dog dissection, amateur stomach-pumping, chewed body parts, and ripped-off genitals. You Brits enjoy now - Cheerio!

'CSI' Season 14: Will Morgan survive the summer?
"CSI" original recipe will return to CBS this fall, the last franchise entry standing, but after Wednesday (May 15) night's season finale, could the series wind up mourning a series regular?

Of course, we're referring to Elisabeth Harnois' Morgan Brody, who would up missing by the end of the hour. After chasing a serial killer murdering prostitutes in manners that fit the circles of Hell in "Dante's Inferno," the team sent Morgan undercover, to the protestations of Ecklie.

This being "CSI," the mission didn't go well. The murderer, Oliver Tate (played by Tim Mathison, "Hart of Dixie") skipped circles and jumped to the eighth -- fraud. Somehow, Oliver knew what was what and, after seemingly dismissing Morgan, had her disappeared. By the time Greg and Nick pulled the black SUV over, she was no longer in it.

Not only is Morgan's fate in limbo, but the fate of Brass' estranged...

CSI Exclusive: Elisabeth Harnois on Season 13 Finale, Morgan Undercover and a Possible Romance with Sanders
How will CSI shake things up to conclude its 13th season? By putting one of their own in jeopardy, that’s how.

On tonight’s finale Elisabeth Harnois’s Morgan Brody will go undercover (as a hooker, no less) and - Spoiler Alert! - she may find herself in harm’s way.

In this exclusive Q&A, actress tells me how the episode is laid out, who she’d love to have more scenes with next season and a lot more...

-------------------------------------------

TV Fanatic: The episode is called “Skin in the Game.” I’m not sure I even want to know what that means!

Elisabeth Harnois: The case is basically that hookers are turning up dead and the one thing they have in common is this reformatory church sort of thing where the guy who runs it is this Pastor. He claims he’s reforming these women and then...

CSI cast want Dolly Parton as guest star
The 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' cast want Dolly Parton to guest star. Elizabeth Harnois - who plays Morgan Brody in the long-running crime drama - has revealed the country star is a firm favourite behind the scenes and the cast are hoping to rope down-to-earth Dolly in for a cameo appearance. Asked who her dream guest star would be, Elizabeth exclusively told Bang Showbiz: ''It's somebody who I've worked with and who I've always admired immensely and who I think would fit very well into the Vegas storyline - Dolly Parton. 'CSI's' Ted Danson and Elisabeth Harnois go way back
Zap2it: What's your take on the reason for the continuing popularity of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" as it nears the end of its 12th season?

Ted Danson: I guess what's so impressive is that it's the No. 1-watched show in the world, and I think the reason the fan base is so loyal is that [the series' makers] continue to produce a really great forensic mystery that allows you to help solve the crime. Even though they've brought new faces in over the years, they've stuck to their guns.

Zap2it: Does it surprise you that the show still comes up with fresh crimes to drive the stories?

Ted Danson: I suppose it's a sad commentary on real life, but you can always find a new and different way to do harm to your fellow man. They're really smart in having three people on staff, two writers and a technical adviser,...

CSI Finds Renewal and Ted Danson’s Contract is Up
CSI received its inevitable renewal – it’s the No. 1 show in its Wedneday 10 p.m. timeslot – taking it to Season 14, and with that extension comes the need to make sure all the cast are signed on to continue their roles. In particular, Ted Danson’s original two-year deal is up, so he needed to renegotiate his contract to ensure his future on the series. Thankfully, it appears as though all the deals have gone through smoothly. No drama; no fuss. Everyone is returning for Season 14 and likely beyond. It’s a good time to be a part of the original CSI crew.

The particulars of Danson’s new deal aren’t all that interesting. According to Deadline, he signed on for another two years and his salary is well over $200,000 per episode. Also returning is Elisabeth Shue – she came on board with Danson as the new co-leads – as well as George Eads,...

‘CSI’ Signs New Deal With Star Ted Danson, Is Renewed For Next Season By CBS
Just like it recently did with NCIS and its star Mark Harmon, CBS has signed a new contract extension with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation leading man Ted Danson and simultaneously renewed the veteran crime drama for the 2013-14 season. I hear Danson, whose original two-year deal for the show was up this season, has signed another two-year pact. His salary has been well over $200,000 an episode. Also set to return next season are co-lead Elisabeth Shue and original cast members George Eads, Jorja Fox, Eric Szmanda, Paul Guilfoyle and Robert David Hall, along with Wallace Langham, Elisabeth Harnois, David Berman and Jon Wellner. The renewal will extend CSI‘s run to 14 seasons. With CSI: Miami ending last May and CSI: NY expected to follow it this year, the mothership series is expected to be the only CSI on the air next season. On NBC, first spinoff Law & Order: Svu actually...

Watch: The 'CSI' Team Suspects Sara Of Cheating On Grissom
Marg Helgenberger, George Eads, and William Petersen in Les Experts (2000)
The February 20 episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" sees Sara (Jorja Fox) in hot water after a brief encounter with a man leaves her as the prime suspect in his murder case. Even worse -- her interaction with the victim has the team suspecting she's cheating on Grissom (William Petersen).

In The Huffington Post's exclusive clip from Wednesday's Sara/Grissom-centric episode, Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) points out that as far as the rest of the team is concerned, if Sara cheated on her much-beloved husband, she “may as well have cheated on God.”

Check out the clip and weigh in below -- do you think Sara could've cheated on Grissom?

"CSI" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Est on CBS.
