Nicole Hansen is the founder of Green Galaxy Enterprises, a production company and consulting firm that builds individuals and corporate brand profiles through sustainable methods with website design, online publishing, social media, film, TV, transmedia and event production services ranging from story development, product placement, sponsored media, festivals and distribution outreach.
She began her career appearing as Marilyn Monroe in Billy Idol music videos directed by David Fincher and starred in the action film, "American Cyborg" playing the "last fertile woman on the planet". She went on to co-produce and act in indie films, "Tinseltown" with Ron Perlman and Joe Pantoliano and "Beyond the Ashes" starring Tony Goldwyn, Jeaneane Garafolo and Giancarlo Esposito. Both went onto festivals such as; Tribeca, Austin, Montreal and Santa Barbara.
Nicole produced "Save It" created by her 10-year-old son, Nikos Spiridakis with Executive Producer Marshall Herskovitz. The 1 minute short debuted as TakepartTV's inaugural release on YouTube at #2 for non-profit videos. It ran on CNN and MSNBC during the 2008 Presidential Debates and appears on the Weinstein Company's 2009 DVD releases.
She produced the June 2009 Renewable Energy Conference and Awards Gala at the United Nations, securing speakers and honorees Dr. Arthur Nozik of NREL, Dr. Daniel Nocera of MIT as well as Billionaire John Paul DeJoria. Nicole then partnered with the Los Angeles Entrepreneurs' Organization to raise funds for renewable energy initiatives and greened their 2009 Business Entertainment Charity event. Nicole also secured and provided logistics for donations of FTL Solar tents to reach organizations such as Cine Institute in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
Nicole has appeared as a panelist and has spoken at two Ideation Conferences and for ProVisors. She's served on boards of non-profits, National Women's History Museum and the Sustainable Business Council of LA. She has written blogs and articles published in, or on behalf of, Habitat for Humanity, The Nation, Indiewire and Produced By Magazine.
