    In the 1960s, he met Phil Hahn, a writer for Hallmark cards. In 1966, they drove Hahn's Mustang to Los Angeles. In less than a month, they were writing scripts for Hanna-Barbera cartoons. They soon became one of television's most successful writing teams.
