Biography

    • Songwriter ("Bye Bye Pretty Baby"), composer and conductor, educated at Dartmouth College. He led the Barbary Coast Orchestra, and conducted the Chicago Opera orchestra for four years and hotel orchestras throughout the United States. Joining ASCAP in 1944, his other popular-song compositions include "Wild Honey", "Here Comes Your Pappy", "Lovely While it Lasted", "I Feel Sorry for the Poor People", "There's Never Been a Love Like Ours", "Hat Check Girl", "You Can Say That Again", and "Iowa Corn Song".
