The son of actor George Hamilton, Ashley Hamilton, was arrested for threatening a hotel employee with a knife last month. Now, he has admitted that he was under the influence of oxycodone at the time.

At 5 a.m. on August 24, police responded to a call from a luxury Beverly Hills resort where a hotel staff member reported that they had found Ashley asleep on the couch in the hotel lobby. When they tried to wake Ashley up, he grew irritated and pulled a knife on them.

Once he had been located by the police and the knife recovered from the lobby, Ashley was arrested for misdemeanor brandishing, as the hotel employee said they intended to press charges. Suspected to be under some influence, Ashley was taken to the hospital, where he admitted he had taken oxycodone, which he acquired through a prescription for squamous cell skin cancer.

Following the news that Shannen Doherty died on Saturday after a nine-year cancer battle at age 53, her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-stars are paying tribute to their late friend on social media.

Gothic Harvest

Ashley Hamilton’s Gothic Harvest, a New Orleans-based tale of ancient family curses and young women learning the hard way that they should be wary of talking to strangers, is likely to be noticed by horror fans due to the presence of Lin Shaye. Much admired for her work in the Insidious franchise and, more recently, The Final Wish (which she and I spoke about in January), she’s always looking for interesting new characters to explore. We discussed Gothic Harvest last month, on Friday the 13th with a full moon in the sky. She told me she’d been waiting for a parcel for months and had been told it would be delivered that day “of all days,” so she was convinced that these omens meant something would go wrong.

“I’m superstitious in a good way, I think,” she says, laughing, as we begin. “All roads lead to good.

Gravitas Ventures has nabbed the worldwide distribution rights (excluding Germany) to Santa Girl, the romantic comedy starring Wizards Of Waverly Place alum Jennifer Stone. Directed by Blayne Weaver, The Capital Arts Entertainment film will get a day-and-date release in theaters and on demand August 30. Stone plays Santa Claus’ only daughter, Cassie Claus, who wants to experience the “real world” before she must marry the son of Jack Frost, a boy she has never met, and take over the family business. Along with her trusty elf, she sets off to college while trying to keep her magic powers and famous father a secret. Candace Cameron Bure‘s daughter Natasha Bure is following in her mother’s footsteps into acting, but the 20-year-old hopes to mimic her mother in another way as well: She wants to go on “Dancing with the Stars.”

“I would love to do ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ I think it would be the coolest thing. I’m so competitive,” Natasha told “Entertainment Tonight” (watch below).

Candace was on Season 18, coming in third place with Mark Ballas, so Natasha will have her work cut out for her if she wants to best her mother’s finish.

If Natasha does go on “Dancing,” it wouldn’t be the first time a parent and child have competed on the show — all on different seasons. An interesting series of storyboard art that was done for Iron Man 3 has surfaced, and it shows us an alternate version of Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan going up against the villain Savin (James Badge Dale). In this version, Happy was supposed to die. The storyboard art was done by Dan Sweetman, and in the end I'm glad that they didn't kill off the character because I love Happy!
