He is famous as the lead singer of Judas Priest, one of the biggest heavy metal bands of the 1970s and 1980s.

Although he owned a variety of classic cars, Halford did not pass his driving test until he was 38 years old.

In 1998, he became the first major heavy metal star to "come out" as gay.

He is a huge fan of Queen and their former lead singer Freddie Mercury.

Although primarily based in the USA, he also owned a home in Walsall, England.

There are two kinds of music - heavy metal and all the crap they play on radio and show on MTV.
