Although he's known as a very outgoing, positive and fun-loving person in real life, he always played a villain, with only one or two exceptions. His nickname was "the rapist" because he often raped the protagonist's girlfriend or daughter in his movies.

Has predominantly played rapists, drug dealers, henchmen, hit men, kidnappers, blackmailers, thieves, thugs, killers.

Like many Turkish character actors of his era, he had no formal training. He was selling home-made ornaments and jewelry in front of a coffee house, where bit players hung out all day waiting to be called for a day's work. A filmmaker noticed him, and asked him to play a bit part, instead of the other players waiting inside, because "he looked like a foreigner, hippie-ish". So he got his start in movies.
