- Pavel Haas was born on June 21, 1899 in Brünn, Moravia, Austria-Hungary [now Brno, Czech Republic]. He was a composer, known for Zivot je pes (1933), Le mari rêvé (1936) and Mazlícek (1934). He died on October 17, 1944 in Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp, Oswiecim, Malopolskie, Poland.
